Our Benefits
As an employer of choice, American Express is committed to maintaining a comprehensive benefits program for our team members. To ensure we meet the needs of our staff, we have a flexible package of benefits to suit the lifestyle of those we employ.

•  Superannuation
   American Express team members receive 10% of their base salary into superannuation, above the standard 9% superannuation guarantee.
  
•  Flexible Leave Options
   All permanent team members have the ability to purchase additional vacation days from their base salary, while American Express offers up to 12 weeks fully paid parental leave or 24 weeks at half pay.
  
•  Promoting Health and Wellbeing
   Team members at Band 25 and 30 can receive subsidised health insurance through our partner, HCF. All team members can access discounted Health Insurance Cover. To encourage a healthy workforce, American Express provides a cash subsidy to Band 20 and 25 team members who join a recognised health club, and from 2008 all employees will be eligible to receive free flu vaccinations.
  
•  Mortgage Subsidies
   To support team members when purchasing a property, American Express has partnered with AMP Bank to offer mortgage rate discounts and a one-off subsidy to permanent employees.
  
•  Maintaining your Work-Life Balance
   American Express is committed to ensuring all team members maintain a healthy work-life balance through initiatives such as Sunshine Friday, where meetings are avoided after 3pm on a Friday or Summer Hours Leave, where team members partner with their leaders to provide extended weekends for a limited period over summer.
