Using Samsung Pay with an American Express Card
Samsung Pay allows you to make purchases using your American Express® Card with a compatible Samsung device. Your Card Member Agreement governs the use of your Card in Samsung Pay.
A Cardholder can use Samsung Pay to authorise transactions on an account once an American Express Card is added to the app. This can be done by using a suitable Samsung device that has an American Express Card added to its Samsung Pay at a contactless terminal for in-person purchases.
For Samsung Pay to use your American Express Card to complete a transaction, the Card must be visible in the Samsung Pay app on your Samsung device when you present it to the contactless terminal for payment.
Security
You must keep your device and security credentials safe and secure at all times in the same way you would your actual Card or PIN. Never share your device security credentials or allow another person to register their biometric identifier (i.e., fingerprint or iris) to your device, as that person will be able to make payments using your Card. If you do allow someone access, you will be responsible for their use of your Card.

Unauthorised Use & Lost/Stolen Devices
Call us immediately using the number on the back of your Card if your Samsung device has been lost, stolen or compromised in any way. We can suspend or remove your Card from Samsung Pay to prevent further unauthorised use.

Using your information
We use your information to manage your use of Samsung Pay, present you with updates and display targeted offers and advertising from time to time. Samsung shares information with us for fraud and identification purposes. We always use your information in accordance with the American Express Online Privacy Statement.
We share aggregated and de-identified information with Samsung to help improve Samsung Pay. When you register your Card to your device, Samsung may access and process your information, including information about your transactions. Samsung’s use of your personal information is solely governed by Samsung’s privacy policy.
Using Samsung technology
Samsung may change Samsung Pay from time to time. American Express has no control over Samsung’s decisions to change Samsung Pay or any of its services or products (including Samsung’s terms of use or privacy policies). In order to use Samsung Pay, you must agree to Samsung’s terms of use and privacy policy.
