1. To transfer Membership Rewards points into an airline rewards or frequent guest partner program you must be enrolled in Membership Rewards Ascent and be a member of the partner program. Membership of the partner program is the Cardmember’s responsibility and is subject to the Terms and Conditions of the applicable program. A joining fee may apply. Award seats and nights are subject to capacity controls and availability is limited. Award seats are not available on all routes. Please check availability with the partner prior to transferring your points. Charges/levies/taxes may apply. The redemption of points will be administered solely by American Express. A minimum redemption amount applies. American Express holds no responsibility for flight or accommodation availability, which may be limited. This is at the sole discretion of the airline and hotel partners.
2.From 1 April 2009 Qantas is only available as an airline rewards partner in Ascent for certain American Express Business or Gold Business Cardmembers and in Ascent Premium for Centurion, Platinum and Platinum Business Card members. For Cardmembers enrolled in Membership Rewards Spirit, Qantas continues to be the only airline rewards partner available.
3.Qantas Frequent Flyer: Qantas Frequent Flyer members only. Membership of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program is subject to the terms and conditions of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program. A joining fee applies. Under Membership Rewards Ascent a minimum of 2,000 Membership Rewards points may be redeemed for Qantas Frequent Flyer points at any one time and must be in whole numbers. Once Membership Rewards points have been redeemed for Qantas Frequent Flyer points, they are governed by the Terms and Conditions of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program and cannot be reversed. 4.From 16 March 2009. To transfer Membership Rewards points into Air New Zealand Airpoints you must be enrolled in Membership Rewards Ascent or Ascent Premium and be a member of Airpoints. Membership of Airpoints is the Cardmember's responsibility and is the subject to the Airpoints Terms and Conditions. A joining fee of AU$50 applies. Under Membership Rewards Ascent and Ascent Premium a minimum of 2,000 Membership Rewards points may be redeemed for Air New Zealand Airpoints Dollars at any one time and must be in whole numbers. Once Membership Rewards points have been redeemed for Air New Zealand Airpoints Dollars they are governed by the terms and conditions of the Airpoints programme and cannot be reversed.
