Emergency Card replacement
Nothing can replace your American Express Velocity Escape Card – except another American Express Velocity Escape Card.

So if your Card is ever stolen, lost or damaged, report it immediately so we can replace it. Once you've notified us, you won't be liable for any unauthorised charges7, and we'll organise for a replacement Card to be delivered virtually anywhere in the world.

Eligibility and Approval Criteria

Eligibility
To apply online for the American Express Velocity Escape Card you'll need:
• Your income details
• Your address, if you've lived there less than five years we'll also need your previous address
• Your driver's licence number (if you have one)
• Your Velocity membership number if you are already a Velocity member

Approval Criteria
• You are over 18 years of age
• You have a good credit history
• You are a permanent resident or citizen of Australia or hold a current Business Long Stay Visa (Subclass 457)
• You earn a personal gross (pre-tax) annual income of $40,000 or more
• If self-employed, you have been trading for at least 18 months, or 12 months if you hold an existing American Express issued Card

To earn and redeem Velocity Points, you must be a Velocity member. Velocity membership and Points earn and redemption is subject to the Member Terms and Conditions as amended from time to time.

  7. If your Credit Card is lost or stolen, you must report it immediately. You can call American Express 24 hours a day. In Australia, call us on 1300 363 687. If you are overseas, report your lost or stolen Card to the nearest American Express Travel Service or Representative Office. Once you have notified us, you are not liable for any unauthorised charges.
