  • What are the benefits of using OMS to manage my account online?

    The benefits to you are convenience, control and flexibility.   • How do I enroll in OMS to manage my account online?

    First, create your American Express User ID and Password. Then, have the following information handy: your name, phone number, postal code, email address, your American Express merchant number, payee merchant number, transit number and bank account number.   • What information can I access if I register for OMS?

    When you enroll in OMS, you can select what information you would like to see and manage online: Payments, Disputes and Account Information. In Payments, you can see all of your submissions, view pending payments and sign up to receive your monthly e-statement. In Disputes, you can receive notifications for new and urgent disputes, respond to disputes online and track cases and updates. In Account Information, you can update your account details and preferences using our secure authentication process.

  • If I register to manage my account online using OMS, will I still receive paper statements?

    After you set up OMS and enroll to receive e-statements, you will no longer receive paper statements. Each month, you will receive an email notification advising you that your statement is available with a link allowing you to access your e-statement instantly and securely. By receiving your statement electronically, you can avoid any fees associated with paper statements.

  • If I register to manage my account online using OMS, will I still receive paper dispute letters?

    After you set up OMS and enroll in the Disputes function, you will no longer receive paper dispute letters. You will start receiving courtesy email notices whenever you have a new dispute online instead.

  • Can I use OMS to update or correct information about my American Express merchant account?

    OMS gives you 24/7 access to update your merchant account information. After you have enrolled and logged into OMS, make sure you have selected "Update Your Merchant Account.” If you're not enrolled, click here to start managing your account online, or call us at 1-866-220-4272 to set up your account.

  • Is there a fee to manage my account, view payments, resolve disputes or update my merchant account information online using OMS?

    American Express currently offers this service free of charge to merchants. To become an American Express merchant, click here.
