Canadian Platinum Lounge Benefit – Holders of eligible American Express Cards (“Eligible Cardmembers”) may access participating Canadian and International airport lounges (“Participating Lounges”) on a complimentary basis. Participating Lounges may change from time to time. To access a Participating Lounge, Eligible Cardmember must show a valid, unexpired eligible American Express Card, airline ticket for travel on the same day and government issued photo identification in the name of the Eligible Cardmember. Eligible Cardmember’s spouse and 2 children under the age of 21, or one travel companion, may enter a participating lounge as complimentary guests. Guest must accompany eligible Cardmember; show a valid airline ticket for travel on the same day and government-issued photo identification to access a participating lounge.   International Plaza Premium Lounges, maximum of 2 hour stay. Québec City's Jean Lesage International Airport VIP Lounge, eligible Cardmember’s  children must be under the age of 18. House rules, terms and conditions of Participating Lounges apply. 6. Airport Club Program – The Platinum Card member must be travelling. Name on ticket must match name on The Platinum Card. (Ticket not required for US Airways® Clubs.) The Platinum Card member must be 18 years of age to enter the Airport Club Lounge without a parent or guardian for American Airlines Admirals Club® lounges. For Delta Sky Club™ lounges the member must be 18 where there is no self-service bar. The Platinum Card member must be 21 years of age to enter into all Airport Club Lounges where there is a self-service bar. Local age restrictions apply in non-U.S. locations. The Platinum Card member’s spouse and children under the age of 21 or up to two companions may enter the club as complimentary guests. Code-share and affiliated lounge agreements may not apply. Employee travel-related benefit tickets are not eligible with American Airlines. The Platinum Card member must present his or her valid Card, government-issued I.D., and same day airline ticket to club agents. (Ticket not required for US Airways Clubs.) Complimentary access is specifically for the airport club that corresponds to the airline operating the flight (access pertains to the aircraft, not the flight number) except for US Airways Clubs, or with respect to American Airlines marketed code share flights with an American Airlines flight number which are also eligible for complimentary access to the lounge. 7. International Airline Program – The International Airline Program (the “Program”) offers a complimentary or discounted companion ticket, complimentary upgrade and, special discounted fares on participating airlines to holders of an eligible basic American Express Cards (“Eligible Cards”) as described in your American Express Welcome Brochure or are otherwise identified to you by American Express (“Eligible Cardmember”). In order to take advantage of the Program, the Eligible Cardmember’s account must be active (meaning not cancelled).
   1. To receive a complimentary or discounted companion ticket, the Eligible Cardmember must purchase an eligible ticket in first class or business class on a participating airline for an eligible flight originating in and returning to a designated gateway and charge the purchase of such ticket to an Eligible Card. Only select airline(s) offer a complimentary companion ticket. Limit of one complimentary companion ticket per travelling Eligible Cardmember per booking, Eligible Cardmember must be one of the travellers.
      
      
   2. To receive a complimentary upgrade to a designated class of service and , discounted special fare on participating airline(s), the Eligible Cardmember must purchase an n eligible ticket on an eligible flight and class of service originating in and returning to a designated gateway and charge the purchase of the ticket to an Eligible Card. These  offers cannot be combined with each other or with any other offer at any time including the complimentary companion ticket offer. Only select airline(s) offer upgrades and, special  discounted fares. Limit of one complimentary upgrade per travelling Cardmember per booking. Discounted fare tickets vary per participating airline, per travelling Cardmember per booking, eligible Cardmember must be one of the travellers.

   4. Eligible routes, class of service, code-share arrangements, designated gateways and similar matters relating to travel in the Program are determined by and will vary by airline.
      
      
   5. The Program is valid for travel purchases booked and/or completed within designated dates. Designated dates are subject to change without notice and are updated based on arrangements with participating airlines from time to time.
      
      
   6. All Program bookings and purchases must be made through Platinum Card Travel Service of Amex Canada Inc.
      
      
   7. The Program is subject to availability on the participating airlines’ eligible flights. Participating airlines may have limited seat allocations and destinations in respect of the Program and may have other terms, conditions, exclusions, restrictions and fees. Eligible class(es) of service are determined by each participating airline.
      
      
   8. Tickets issued for this Program cannot be transferred or endorsed. Eligible ticket and the associated complimentary ticket or discounted fare tickets, must be issued at the same time, for the same itinerary, with departure and return on the same flights and in the same class of service. All tickets are subject to all applicable government fees, taxes and charges including airport levies. Once issued, names cannot be changed. Passengers and companions under the Program must travel together.
      
      
   9. Tickets must show a confirmed reservation for the entire trip and must be purchased in Canada using an Eligible Card prior to the start of travel. No split currency ticketing is permitted.
      
      
   10. Prepaid and miscellaneous charge orders (“MCOs”) may not be permitted.
       
       
   11. Electronic tickets are mandatory and will be issued whenever the itinerary is e-ticket eligible.
       
       
   12. Re-routings, one-way, circle-trip and open-jaw itineraries may not be permitted.
       
       
   13. International Air Transport Association fare construction principles and rules apply. There are limitations on the number of transfers through the international hub(s) of the participating airline. Maximum numbers of transits allowed through international hub(s) may vary and are determined by participating airlines. Sector and side trips may not be allowed. Certain code-share flights may not apply.
       
       
   14. Interlining is not permitted unless otherwise stated. Flights on participating airlines cannot be combined under the Program. Flights on non-participating airlines are not eligible for the Program and must be ticketed and priced separately. Canadian domestic fares to and from the designated departure gateways must be ticketed separately and are not included as part of the Program unless otherwise stated.
       
       
   15. Complimentary companion tickets have no refund value and do not accrue frequent flyer mileage. Once tickets are issued, changes, cancellations and refunds, as applicable, may be subject to a fee per ticket and will be at the Eligible Cardmember’s expense. Refunds after departure or “no shows” may not be allowed. Refunds are allowed on the full-fare ticket only, and must be accompanied by the unused companion ticket. Complimentary companion tickets are not refundable and have no refund value, however, if applicable, taxes and fees may be fully refundable. Refunds may be allowed and subject to cancellation fees  on discounted fare ticket and discounted companion fare ticket provided both tickets are refunded at the same time. Special class fare tickets and upgrade tickets will be refunded at the original ticket price subject to any applicable fees.
       
       
   16. This Program cannot be combined with any other promotion, travel agent discount, consolidator fares, travel industry and airline employee discounts, child, infant or senior citizen fare, frequent flyer award, group rate, corporate rate, MCOs, or any other promotional offer.
       
       
   17. Reservations must be ticketed no later than 30 days prior to the departure or reservations will be cancelled. Reservations made within 30 days prior to departure date must be ticketed within 72 hours after the bookings are made or the reservations will be cancelled. If a fare increases after the booking date, the participating airline will honour the lower fare at which the ticket was booked provided the ticket is purchased within 72 hours of the date of the fare increase. Reservations for Air France must be made as per the carrier’s Flight Firming Rules & Regulations.
       
       
   18. We reserve the right to cancel or change the Program in whole or in part or change the terms and conditions of the Program at any time, for any reason and without notice. Participating airlines are subject to change without notice. Under no circumstances will Amex Bank of Canada, Amex Canada Inc. or any of their affiliates be liable for any loss or damage howsoever incurred as a result of the termination of the Program, the termination of any participating airline or any change in the Program.
       
       
   19. All recourse for any and all liability in connection with full-fare and/or companion tickets, special  discounted fare tickets and/or upgrade tickets issued under the Program, the refusal to issue or honour any such tickets, travel pursuant to any such tickets or the failure of any participating airline or other party to adhere to the terms of the Program is as against the relevant participating airline only. Under no circumstances will Amex Bank of Canada, Amex Canada Inc. or any of their affiliates be liable for any conduct, action or failure of any participating airline whatsoever, including, without limitation, for any expense, loss, injury (to person or property), damage, delay, flight cancellation, denied boarding, missed connection, accident or any other matter whatsoever, however suffered or caused, directly or indirectly in connection with tickets, transportation or other services provided or refused to be provided by any participating airline or other party. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Amex Bank of Canada, Amex Canada Inc. or any of their affiliates will not be liable for any incidental, indirect, consequential, special, punitive or exemplary damages of any kind whatsoever arising from or in connection with the Program (whether in contract, tort, strict liability, products liability or otherwise), including, without limitation, lost revenues, loss of profits or loss or interruption of business.
8. To receive Fine Hotels & Resorts program (FHR) amenities and rates, reservation must be booked with a Platinum Card in FHR negotiated rates and room categories through Platinum Card Travel Service. Payment must be made with an American Express Card in the Platinum Card member’s name. Room upgrade based on availability. Limit one amenity per room, per stay. Amenity restrictions vary by hotel, are subject to change, and cannot be redeemed for cash. Platinum Card members may book up to three (3) rooms inclusive of FHR rates and amenities and must accompany the party as a guest for which FHR reservations are made. In the event the Platinum Card member cancels the reservation(s), FHR rates and amenities will no longer apply to any remaining reservation(s). Back-to-back stays within a 24-hour period at a single FHR property are considered one stay. Benefit value based on double occupancy. Actual value varies by property, length and date of stay. $450 value is based on a $80 breakfast credit, $100 special amenity, and a $365 value for 4 pm check-out based on fees charged for late checkout of generally 50% of the daily rate, based on an average daily rate of $730.
   
   
9. Membership Rewards points can only be redeemed for a statement credit towards a qualified travel purchased charged to your Card. There is a minimum redemption requirement of 1,000 points for a $10 credit and redemptions must be made within 12 months after the qualified travel purchase is posted to your account. Other terms, conditions and restrictions apply.
   
   
10. Platinum Concierge – Upon authorization of the Platinum Card member, Platinum Card Concierge uses its best efforts to source or arrange the purchase of requested goods or services from a supplier. There is no charge for using the services of Platinum Card Concierge, however the Card member will be responsible for paying the supplier for any purchases and/or shipping charges you authorize, as well as any other fees or related costs that may apply. Amex Bank of Canada cannot be responsible for the acts or omissions of suppliers, and cannot guarantee successful fulfillment of Card member requests in all instances. This service may not be available in certain countries. Please call for details.
    
    
11. All references to you means the Basic Cardmember.
    
    
12. Your account must be in good standing. You agree to only make recommendations to known friends or family members with whom you have a relationship and who have confirmed to you that they want to receive this communication. You must not send recommendations to people you do not know. The referral bonus will be awarded to you based on each eligible referral for which American Express receives an application that is subsequently approved, subject to all applicable terms and conditions. Due to the confidential nature of the approval process, you will not be notified when applications are approved or declined and any individual you have referred must agree to allow your account to be bonused upon approval or you will not receive the referral bonus. If our records indicate that any person you have referred has opted not to receive e-mails from us, your referral will not be sent and you will not receive the referral bonus offered as part of this program. Referral program varies by product and may be modified, suspended, cancelled or otherwise terminated without notice. Cannot be combined with any other offer. If the people that you refer have already applied for the product that you are referring without participating in this program, neither you nor they will be eligible for referral bonus offered as part of this program. Likewise, if the people you refer decide to apply for a Card through this referral program other than the one you have specifically recommended, the referral bonus for which you and they may be eligible will vary. Referral program participants should allow 8 to 10 weeks for the award of the referral bonus once program criteria have been met and must be enrolled in the corresponding loyalty program when the referral bonus is awarded. 13. Priority Pass – Platinum Basic and Platinum Supplementary Cardmember(s) (“Cardmember”) may apply for a Priority Pass membership (“PP membership”). PP membership is subject to approval by Priority Pass Limited (“PPL”) and is not guaranteed. Unless cancelled, PP membership automatically renews on its anniversary date. PP membership may be cancelled by American Express if: (i) the Priority Pass benefit associated with the Platinum Card is changed or terminated, or (ii) the Cardmember’s Platinum Card is cancelled. PP membership includes access to any airport lounge participating in the Priority Pass Program. Participating lounges are owned and operated by independent third parties and their participation and/or facilities can change from time to time. To access a lounge, the Cardmember will need to show his/her valid Priority Pass card and an airline ticket for travel on the same day for the Cardmember and each of his/her guests. At their sole discretion, participating lounges may restrict entry of persons under 21 years old; please check restriction details for the individual lounges at www.prioritypass.com or your Priority Pass Directory provided by PPL. All Priority Pass lounge visits are complimentary for the enrolled Cardmember and one guest. All additional guests are subject to a fee of $27 US per person per visit. Lounge access charges can be billed by PPL to the Platinum Card connected to
    the Cardmember’s PP membership upon PP’s receipt of notification from the lounge visited. All Cardmembers are subject to PPL’s terms and conditions for the Priority Pass Program and the individual lounge operators’ terms of use for the participating lounges visited. 14. $200 Annual Travel Credit – The $200 CAD Annual Travel Credit can only be redeemed through Platinum Card Travel Service at time of booking. Travel booking must be charged to The Platinum Card.  Annual Travel Credit can only be used once per calendar year towards a single travel booking of $200 or more, and will appear on the Platinum Card member’s billing statement as “Platinum Annual Travel Credit”.  If the Cardmember cancels their travel booking after redeeming the Annual Travel Credit, they will not be able to use it again in the same calendar year.
    
    
15. Toronto Pearson Valet Service – Basic and Supplementary Platinum Card members must charge the parking fee to their Platinum Card for the associated $25 Valet fee to be waived. 16. Toronto Pearson 15% Parking Discount – 15% discount off the cost of parking (including taxes) will be provided as a credit to your Platinum Card statement. Pearson Priority Lane – American Express Basic and Supplementary Cardmembers with a valid Platinum Card are entitled to access the Pearson Priority Lanes (“Priority Lane”) during peak airport operating hours. The Priority Lanes are serviced by the Greater Toronto Airport Authority. Priority Lanes are located at select departure areas at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport in Terminal 1 & 3. Access to a Pearson Priority Lane is available to eligible Cardmembers and companions travelling on the same itinerary upon the presentation of a valid, unexpired eligible Card. The name on the Card must match the name on the boarding pass. All passengers departing Pearson International Airport, including those accessing the Priority Lane are required to comply with airport security and customs screening requirements. Priority Lane access is subject to change or cancellation at any time and additional terms and conditions apply.

Fairmont – Basic and Supplementary Platinum Cards and other eligible American Express Cardmembers (“Cardmembers”) must enroll to qualify for the American Express “Platinum for Platinum” Fairmont President’s Club Platinum Benefit. Cardmembers must enroll for the Benefit by contacting Fairmont Hotels & Resorts at 1-888-320-5959 or at fairmont.com/plat5 and use the code PLAT5 if you are new to the Program, or use code PLATIN5 if you are an existing President’s Club member to update your status. Enrolled Cardmembers that register and complete five overnight stays at a Fairmont hotel or resort, paid for with an American Express Card between January and December of the calendar year will qualify for membership in Fairmont President’s Club. The Benefit may be discontinued at any time. Fairmont President’s Club membership is subject to the restrictions, terms and conditions of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts which may change without notice. 23. Preferred Golf Membership – Platinum Card members are eligible for enrollment. Payment must be made using the Platinum Card. Limit one membership per Cardmember valid for one year from the date of issue.  At the end of your membership term, the Cardmember will have an opportunity to renew their membership. Complimentary renewal of the Program membership will be provided to an eligible Cardmember who completes a minimum two night stay at eligible properties.  Eligible Cardmembers may otherwise renew membership into the Program for an annual fee of $295USD. Previous stays or existing reservations do not qualify for the purpose of complimentary membership renewal.  Blackout dates may apply and vary by location. Daily continental breakfast has no cash value and is non-transferable.  Complimentary round of golf offer is valid at participating Preferred Golf resorts and can be redeemed only when purchasing a minimum two consecutive night stay at participating golf resorts.
