Thank you for your interest in the American Express Affiliate Program. Please complete the following easy steps to register:

1. Please review the Key Requirements for acceptance as an American Express Affiliate.
2. If you meet all of these requirements and are not a member of the LinkShare network, please go to www.linkshare.com and click on "Join Now" in order to register. Follow all the steps of registration to create your profile. You can select your User Name and password. If you meet all of these requirements and are a member of the LinkShare network, please proceed to log into your account.
3. When on the www.linkshare.com site, find the American Express Program: go to the "Join Programs" tab, select "LinkShare CA" and type in "American Express" into "Find a Merchant by Name" and apply to join the program. Your site will be reviewed and you will receive an email if you have been approved.
4. Once approved, download the American Express banner ads and text links that best suit your audience, using the step-by-step instructions provided in your welcome email.
5. You can earn commissions every time one of your users is approved for an American Express Card.

Before joining the American Express Affiliate Program, please ensure your website meets the following requirements:

• Your site must be live.
• If you are an E-commerce site, you must accept the American Express Card. Please visit www.americanexpress.ca/accept for more information.
• You must have a privacy policy.
• If you have a Financial Services site that compares Charge and Credit Cards, you need to include American Express Cards within the comparison and provide correct American Express product information.
• A significant percentage of your site visitors are Canadian residents.
• In addition, some sites may be deemed unsuitable. Should your site contain, or include, any of the following, you will not be eligible to join the American Express Affiliate Program:
  • Hate/offensive/violent content
  • Lewd/pornographic content
  • Fanatically religious sites or political content
  • Endorsement of political candidates
  • Gambling, firearms, alcohol, games of chance, lotteries
  • Content that condones tobacco, alcohol, drug abuse (links to appropriate wine merchants are acceptable)
  • The words Bad Credit, No Credit, Bankrupt either in the name, URL or on the site
  • Expressing negative views about American Express

When and how do I get paid?
Payment is made monthly if one or more of your site visitors was approved for an American Express Card using the appropriate link.

What are the commission rates?
Our generous commission rates are available to view on the LinkShare [Link to Linkshare] website. All this information is available when you register to become an American Express Affiliate.

How do I qualify?
Before you register it's important that you review the Key Requirements for becoming an American Express Affiliate. Some applications may be permanently rejected, while others may simply be put temporarily on-hold while any issues are resolved.

Is it free to join?
Yes it is free to join; all you need to do is Register to become an American Express Affiliate.

How is an "Approved Customer" defined?
An approved customer is defined as a valid, completed and approved Card application submitted by a prospect through our linked online Card application.

Where can I check my statistics and commission?
Simply log into www.linkshare.com and run an 'Overview' report for the period of time you are interested in. The 'Overview' report can be found on the left hand menu.

Can I participate from outside of Canada?
Yes, as long as a significant proportion of your site visitors are Canadian residents.
