Continue to make payments to the designated credit card issuing companies until you receive confirmation from us.

Important Notes: Balance Transfer requests for amounts less than HK$1,000 will not be processed. You may make transfers up to 100% of your available credit limit (credit limit less previous balance and all new charges) and a maximum of 12 balance transfers (including the transfer(s) on this application) to your Credit Card account within the twelve month period preceding the date of this application. Supplementary Credit Cardmember can also apply to transfer the balance from other credit card accounts. Both the Basic and the Supplementary Credit Cardmember must sign such a transfer request. Payment to the credit card issuing companies will normally be completed within 7 working days from receipt of your balance transfer request. You must continue to make payments to the designated credit card issuing companies until you receive confirmation on a statement that your account has been credited with the balance amount. American Express will not be held liable for any overdue payment or interest incurred. We will charge interest at your prevailing Annual Finance Charge Rate (unless subject to a promotional rate) on the amount transferred on a daily basis from the date that we approve your Balance Transfer request until the transferred amount is repaid in full. We cannot accept transfers : - from other American Express Cards or credit card accounts (unacceptable to American Express) issued inside or outside Hong Kong. - if any of your American Express Cards or the credit card account(s) you are transferring from is(are) in overdue status or the credit limit is exceeded. - if at the time of the Balance Transfer application you have drawn the maximum cash advance permitted on your American Express Credit Card account. Balance Transfer does not earn Membership Rewards/points/rebate unless stated in the terms of the offer. If your Credit Card account is not maintained in good standing at anytime, we may adjust the interest rate applied to Balance Transfer. Payments to your Credit Card account are applied first to transferred balances, including transferred balances benefiting from promotional interest rates. The terms and conditions contained herein shall form part of the Credit Cardmember Agreement governing the use of the Card and shall be construed accordingly. We reserve the right to refuse any transfer request.
