A: Podcast is a term that was coined to describe the technology used to push audio content from websites to users who listen to it on an iPod or any other player that supports MP3 files.
Q. How do I download American Express® Travelcasts?
A: To download the tour, just click on the ‘Download travelcast’ link and choose "Save..." on a PC. On a Mac, select "Download linked file’ from the menu that drops down. To reduce download times, we have zipped the file so you will need to unzip it using Winzip or a similar application.
Q: How do I use American Express Travelcasts?
A: The download contains multiple MP3 files in a zipped format. Each track will be numbered to align with a stop on the tour which is marked on the tour map for reference. The map is in PDF format. You can download Adobe Acrobat here.
Q: Do I need any special software?
A: No. Podcasting usually makes audio files available to you via a RSS (Real Simple Syndication) feed. The American Express® Travelcast however does not utilise RSS - they are downloaded to your computer or player and can be played on any audio device capable of playing MP3 files.

A: Travelcasts are compatible with all MP3 players.
Q. How long is a Travelcast?
A: This tour takes most people about 2-3 hours to complete. It is made of up of a series of tracks that you can listen to in any order, so you can stop or start the tour as often as you wish.
Q. How long will the Turin Travelcast take to download?
A: The Turin Travelcast is 18.6MG. The file will take 1 hour to download on a 56K modem and just under 4 minutes to download on 1MB broadband connection.

A: At present there is one American Express Travelcast. But there are many more to come!
