For existing Cardmembers, from April 1, 2008 onward, you will not be able to make purchases with your Card, transfer balances to your account, or use your Card to get cash, but you will continue to receive monthly statements until your balance is paid in full. Your payment terms, including minimum payments, continue in effect and are not impacted by this change. As a reminder, as of October 1, 2007, you can no longer add any Additional Cardholders to the account.
Starting on October 27, 2007, we are offering the TrueEarnings® Card from Costco and American Express, which offers many of the same benefits, with the addition of cash back on virtually all purchases. We invite you to apply for this Card by visiting any Costco warehouse in Puerto Rico."

Q: Will I have to apply for the TrueEarnings® Card?
A: Yes, if you want the TrueEarnings Card, you will have to apply at a Costco warehouse in Puerto Rico.
Q: Can I just transfer to the TrueEarnings Card you will be offering in the warehouses without applying?
A: No. You will have to apply for the TrueEarnings Card at a Costco warehouse in Puerto Rico.
Q: I have supplied my credit card number to some merchants. Will I have to inform merchants of any changes?
A: Yes. You will need to provide the merchant with a valid credit card number prior to March 31, 2008.
Q: I still have a balance on my existing American Express® Costco Card. Will I still get a statement?
A: Yes. You will continue to receive a statement until you have a zero balance. You can continue to make payments until the balance is zero.
