Travel Accident Insurance 2 As a Cardmember, you can travel with the security of knowing that you are automatically covered for up to $100,000 of accidental death and dismemberment insurance, at no extra charge to you, when you travel on a Common Carrier Conveyance (plane, train, ship or bus) and charge the entire fare to The Gold Card.
Car Rental Loss and Damage Insurance 3 Regardless of the car rental company you select, when you reserve and pay for a car rental with The Gold Card, you will be covered against damage to, or theft of, most rental vehicles. Simply refuse the insurance offered by the commercial rental car company before you sign the contract.
Emergency Travel Funds American Express makes it simple to cash your personal check of up to $250 at any participating U.S. or Canadian hotel or motel when you are a guest and pay with The American Express Gold Card. You can also cash a check for $50 at airline counters within 48 hours of your flight.
Express Cash 4 Enroll in the Express Cash program and you will be able to use The Gold Card to get up to $2,500 every 7 days at home, and every 21 days elsewhere. With more than 500,000 automatic teller machines in major cities around the world. Just call Customer Service at 1-800-327-1267 for details, or to enroll call 1-800-CASH NOW or 1-800-227-4669. You will only pay a fee of 3% for each withdrawal, with a $5 minimum. A 1% commission is charged for Travelers Cheque purchases.
Emergency Check Cashing 5 By presenting your personal check at more than 1,700 American Express Travel Service locations around the globe, you can also get up to $2,500 cash or American Express Travelers Cheques (or the equivalent in local currency). You can do so every 7 days in the U.S. with local checks or every 21 days with foreign checks. When the transaction takes place outside of the U.S., you can cash personal cheques for up to $2,500 every 21 days. Express Cash and Emergency Check Cashing withdrawals (combined) must not exceed $2,500. This withdrawal limit includes both Basic and Additional Cardmember activity.

We'll help you get emergency medical and legal referrals, 24 hours a day, virtually anywhere in the world. But that's not all. The Global Assist Hotline is also available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for worldwide information such as weather, visa and customs. Fee Based

Credit Card Registry 7 Credit Card Registry ensures a Card member’s cards will be protected. The service will cancel and request replacements of any lost or stolen cards - all with a single call. This includes all cards, not just American Express cards. Fraudulent charges will be reimbursed up to $5,000 per loss incident and up to $25,000 per enrollment.
Key Protector Plan 8 Affordable monthly plans up to $100,000 for loss of life due to accidental death.
Hospital Cash Plan 8 Up to $125 per day for every day that you, your spouse or child spend in the hospital, up to a total of 365 days of hospitalization a year. This plan also offers up to $300 per outpatient treatment.
Cancellation of Insurance To cancel your enrollment in any of the insurance programs described above, you must contact the insurance provider directly.
