1. The American Express “WIN 1 MILLION KRISFLYER MILES” Lucky Draw (Draw) is organized by American Express International, Inc. (Amex).
2. The Draw period is from June 30 - October 15, 2006, both dates inclusive.
3. This Draw is open to all American Express Cardmembers holding American Express Cards issued by Amex whose Card accounts are issued in Singapore.
4. Employees of Amex and its subsidiaries, advertising agencies and any other parties who are directly involved in organizing, promoting or conducting the Draw as determined by Amex are not eligible to participate in the Draw.
5. All Card accounts must be in good standing between June 30, 2006, till the time of Draw.
6. Every S$100 charged to the Card accounts at participating merchants between June 30 - October 15, 2006 will earn the Basic Cardmember one chance towards the Draw. Double chances will be awarded only at Official Partners. Transactions incurred by the Supplementary Cardmembers shall accrue to the Basic Cardmember.
7. A list of the Official Partners charging at which yields double chances is provided above.
8. American Express Corporate Cardmembers must check that they comply with their particular company policies before spending at the participating merchants with their American Express Corporate Cards.
9. An eligible Cardmember can choose not to participate in the Draw.
10. Draw chances awarded to a Cardmember are neither negotiable nor transferable.
11. Amex reserves the right to determine the number of chances allocated to an eligible Cardmember. The decisions of Amex on all matters relating to the Draw are final, conclusive and binding.
12. There will be one Grand Prize winner and 28 Major Prize winners. The prize winners will be selected at random by Amex under the supervision of an independent public accountant. Amex reserves the right to draw reserve-winning chances to replace any winner subsequently found to be disqualified.
    • One Grand Prize: One hundred thousand (100,000) Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer frequent flyer miles
    • Twenty-eight Major Prizes: Fifty thousand (50,000) Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer frequent flyer miles each (8 winners) and twenty-five thousand (25,000) Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer frequent flyer miles each (20 winners)
    • The Draw will be held on November 30, 2006, 4 pm at Singapore Press Holdings, 1000 Toa Payoh North, News Centre, Singapore 318994, or on such other date or time or at such other venue as may be determined by Amex.
13. The prize winners will be notified by post and telephone within 5 business working days from the date of the Draw. The results of the Draw will be published in the “Straits Times” within 7 business working days from the date of the Draw, on December 11, 2006.
14. All prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and non-exchangeable for cash, credit, goods or benefits in kind. All prizes are awarded to the Basic Cardmember only and a Cardmember can only win once. The miles won exclude insurance, airport taxes and other departure surcharges imposed by the particular airport authorities.
15. If the prize winner is not a KrisFlyer member, the Cardmember will need to enrol as a member in order to redeem the KrisFlyer miles and is subject to the Terms and Conditions of KrisFlyer membership.
16. Prizes must be claimed within two months from the Draw date. Unclaimed prizes shall be donated to a charity as chosen by Amex. The winner whose prize has been forfeited is not entitled to any compensation notwithstanding non-receipt of notification for whatever cause. All prizes must be claimed on or before January 29, 2007.
17. Amex reserves the right to withdraw or substitute the Prize with other items without prior notice and without assigning any reason.
18. By participating in this Draw, the Cardmember agrees to be bound by the official rules, regulations and decisions of Amex. Failure to comply with the Draw Terms and Conditions will result in the disqualification of the Draw.
19. The winners agree to co-operate with and participate in any advertising or publicity activities of Amex relating to the promotion and agrees that Amex may publicize the name, identity card or passport number and/or photograph of the winners in such mode and manner as Amex considers fit.
20. Amex shall not be responsible for any loss whatsoever to any person in connection with this promotion howsoever arising, including any error in computing chances, any breakdown or malfunction in any computer system or equipment, any notice which is misdirected or lost in the post.
21. Amex reserves the right to vary, delete or add to any of the Terms and Conditions of the Draw at any time at its absolute discretion without notice. In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any brochure, marketing or promotional material relating to the Draw, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
