Avios are just one of the benefits

As well as earning you Avios towards reward flights, your British Airways American Express Premium Plus Card gives you lots of other benefits whether you’re travelling or not. To learn more, click on the tabs below.

One of the most talked about benefits of this Card is the Companion Voucher and here’s where you can find out more about it.  

Your Companion voucher is valid for 24 months, creating a number of fantastic possibilities for you:  

  • You can earn one Companion Voucher in year one and another in year two, and redeem them at the same time to arrange a trip for four people, with two people travelling on Companion Vouchers
  • You can hold on to your Companion Voucher while you accrue even more Avios on your Card, and then redeem for flights to more far-flung places or enjoy a trip in an upgraded cabin
  • You can begin to plan a trip further in advance and book up to 12 months in advance of when you actually travel

You can take absolutely anyone as your companion – it doesn’t have to be someone from your family. You need to spend just £10,000 on your Card in a year to trigger your Companion Voucher1, but remember, the more you spend, the more Avios you can redeem on a companion trip.

British Airways American Express Cardmembers gain automatic enrolment into the British Airways frequent flyer programme, The Executive Club.

Emergency Card replacement

If your Card is lost or stolen we'll issue a replacement to you as soon as we can - often within two working days. If you're in a remote area, arrangements can usually be made to have your Card waiting at some point along your route.

Emergency travel back-up

Lost luggage? We’ll locate it. Don’t speak the language? We’ll provide a translator. Mislaid your medicine? We’ll help find a replacement prescription. If necessary, we’ll refer you to a doctor, or a lawyer if you need one, and we’ll let the family know back home.

Online Fraud Guarantee

If something’s stolen from your account or you see a charge you don’t recognise, we’ll remove it and investigate. You can shop online knowing you’ll never be held responsible for any unauthorised online purchases.
