| The Repayment Protection Plan is a benefit, exclusive to Cardmembers, that could pay a cash amount onto your American Express Card account at times when your finances could be overstretched. |

| If you are unable to work for 30 days due to an accident, sickness or unemployment, the Plan could pay 5% of the outstanding balance on your card for 6 months. |
| Should you still be claiming after this, the Plan could make a 7th and final payment to clear your outstanding claimable balance (the balance on your card at the start of your claim) up to a maximum of £20,000. This could help ease your financial commitments long-term. |

| During these times of emotional and financial strain, the Repayment Protection Plan could pay 5% of the outstanding balance on your card for two months. |
| This financial breathing space gives you one less thing to worry about. |
| The financial security of the American Express Repayment Protection Plan costs only 79p per £100 of your outstanding balance each month so if your statement shows a zero balance, there would be no charge. |
