Amazon Prime Offer

What is the American Express Amazon Prime offer and how do I qualify?

The American Express Amazon Prime offer is a welcome bonus offer available to new Card Members on select American Express® Cards who apply online using specific application sites. If approved for an eligible Card, you can get a statement credit equal to the amount of the charge (including taxes) as reimbursement for your initial annual Amazon Prime membership fee if, during the first three months of Card Membership, you:
1) Sign up for a new Amazon Prime membership with your new Card. (Amazon Student, Amazon Mom, and other promotional or discounted Prime memberships are not eligible.)
2) Meet the “Spend Threshold” on your new Card. (For more information about the Spend Threshold, see question “What is the Spend Threshold?”)

You can also receive Membership Rewards® points or Reward Dollars if you meet the Spend Threshold on your new Card within the first three months. The Membership Rewards points and Reward Dollars you will receive vary by Card type:
   • Blue Cash Preferred® Card – 100 Reward Dollars
   • Blue Cash Everyday® Card – 50 Reward Dollars

Existing Amazon Prime members and new Card Members who do not sign up for Amazon Prime can still receive Membership Rewards points or Reward Dollars (depending on the Card type) by meeting the Spend Threshold within the first three months of Card Membership.

There is a limit of one statement credit per Card account.
