1A. No pre-set spending limit does not mean unlimited spending. Your purchases are approved based on a variety of factors, including current spending patterns, your payment history, credit records, and financial resources known to us.
2A. Extend your cash flow by up to 51 days: Depending upon when you make a purchase, when your statement is issued and whether or not you are carrying forward a balance on your Account from your previous statement period.
3A. Membership Rewards enrolment required (an annual fee may apply). Subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Membership Rewards program available here. There may be tax implications associated with participation in the Membership Rewards program. You are advised to check with your accountant or tax adviser for further information.
4A. MYOB Integration: MYOB bank feed is available to American Express Cards issued by American Express Australia Limited with the exception of David Jones American Express Cards and American Express Corporate Cards. The Card must be active at the time of enrolment.
5A. Supplementary Cards: American Express approval criteria apply. Subject to Terms and Conditions. Fees and charges apply. This offer is only available to those who reside in Australia. Supplementary Card Members must be over 18 years of age. The Business, the Basic Card Member and each Supplementary Card Member are jointly and severally liable for all Supplementary Card spending. Terms and Conditions apply.
6A. Membership Rewards enrolment required (an annual fee may apply). Subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Membership Rewards program available here. Merchants classified as “government”, include the Australian Taxation Office, the Australian Postal Corporation (Australia Post), Federal/State and Local Government bodies. There may be tax implications associated with participation in the Membership Rewards program. You are advised to check with your accountant or tax adviser for further information.
7A. Airline Partners: This is available to primary Card Members enrolled in the Ascent Membership Rewards programs. To redeem points, you must be a member of the applicable Frequent Traveller programs. Enrolment in the Partner Program is solely your responsibility and fees may apply. Points transferred to Airline Transfer Partners are not reversible and are subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Partner Programs. The minimum requirement and transfer rate varies. Subject to the Membership Rewards Terms and Conditions.
8A. American Express Travel Online: You can redeem points for prepaid travel of a nominated value through American Express Travel Online with the point-of-purchase redemption capability. Travel bookings using points may be made for any person, provided all your Accounts are kept in good standing and are not overdue. Points cannot be used for Cruise Privileges bookings. All travel bookings are subject to availability. Subject to the American Express Travel Online standard booking Terms and Conditions.
9A. There is no expiry date for points earned while in the Membership Rewards program as long as you are an American Express Card Member enrolled in Membership.
10A. Subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Membership Rewards program available here and the David Jones Partner Terms and Conditions available at davidjones.com.au Only American Express Cards issued by American Express Australia Limited are eligible provided they are enrolled in the Membership Rewards program. A minimum of 3,000 points must be redeemed at any one time. If redeeming with Points + Pay, the 'pay' component of your purchase will be automatically billed to your American Express Card Account and will appear on the first billing statement following redemption. You’ll earn Membership Rewards points on the 'pay' component of your purchase only.
11A. Insurance: The American Express Business Card insurance is subject to terms, conditions and exclusions (such as maximum age limits, pre-existing medical conditions and cover limits) - see the full Terms and Conditions. You must use your American Express Business Card to pay for your return trip in order to be eligible for the travel insurance. The insurance is underwritten by Chubb Insurance Australia Limited (ABN 23 001 642 020, AFSL No. 239687) under a group policy held by American Express Australia Limited (ABN 92 108 952 085, AFSL No. 291313). Card members are not a party to the group policy, but may be able to claim under it as third party beneficiaries. This communication does not take into account your objectives or financial situation. 13A. Emergency Card Replacement: If your Card is lost or stolen, you must report it immediately. You can call American Express 24 hours a day. In Australia, call us on 1800 175 568. If you are overseas, report your lost or stolen Card to the nearest American Express Travel Service or Representative Office. Once you have notified us, you are not liable for any unauthorised charges.
14A. Online Fraud Protection Guarantee: Provided that you notify us immediately upon discovery of any fraudulent transactions and you have complied with your Card Member Agreement, you will not be held liable for any unauthorised charges.
15A. The information has been prepared without taking into account your objectives, financial situation or needs. To enrol in this service, your business will be required to complete an application, which is subject to review and approval by American Express. 16A. Express Cash™: A fee per ATM transaction applies. A currency conversion fee is payable when a cash withdrawal is processed in a currency other than Australian dollars. A withdrawal limit may apply depending on individual financial institution ATM restrictions.
17A. Gift Cards: Gift Card or voucher rewards are not redeemable or exchangeable for cash or credit and are valid for a period of 12 months from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated. Normal retailer Gift Card Terms and Conditions apply. Gift Cards and Vouchers will be dispatched within 5 business days. Orders over $600 will be dispatched via Registered Post. Should you not receive your Gift Card or reward within the stated timeframe, you must advise American Express within 28 days from date of redemption. Terms and Conditions apply to all Membership Rewards redemption options and redemption is subject to availability. Subject to your Account being kept in good standing and not overdue. Minimum redemption amounts apply.
18A. Points for Credit: Points may be redeemed by the Basic Card Member for a credit on the Primary Card Account (the Card which your Membership Rewards points balance appears online). American Express may decline a Points for Credit request where the Card Account or Card Member's other Accounts with American Express are not in good standing or overdue. The redemption of points for credit will be administered solely by American Express within 3 business days and cannot be reversed. Points for Credit is not available for redemption by Corporate Card Accounts and is not redeemable for cash via Credit balance refund. A minimum of 8,000 points must be redeemed at any one time.
