Terms & Conditions

1J. No pre-set spending limit does not mean unlimited spending. Your purchases are approved based on a variety of factors, including current spending patterns, your payment history, credit records, and financial resources known to us.

2J. As long as your account remains current and in good standing.

3J. Membership Rewards enrolment required (an annual fee may apply). Subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Corporate Membership Rewards program available here. Your Company must allow participation in Membership Rewards to be eligible to enrol. You must enrol yourself and cannot delegate someone else in the Company to do so on your behalf. 4J. Insurance: The American Express Corporate Cards insurance is subject to Terms, Conditions and exclusions (such as maximum age limits, pre-existing medical conditions and cover limits) - see the full Terms and Conditions. You must use your American Express® Corporate Card to pay for your return trip, commencing and ending in Australia, in order to be eligible for the travel insurance. The insurance is underwritten by Chubb Insurance Australia Limited (ABN 23 001 642 020, AFSL No. 239687) under a group policy held by American Express Australia Limited (ABN 92 108 952 085, AFSL No. 291313). Card members are not a party to the group policy, but may be able to claim under it as third party beneficiaries. This communication does not take into account your objectives or financial situation. 5J. Membership Rewards Ascent: To transfer Membership Rewards points into an Airline Rewards or Frequent Guest Partner Program you must be enrolled in Membership Rewards Ascent and be a member of the Partner Program. Membership of the Partner Program is the Card Member's responsibility and is subject to the Terms and Conditions of the applicable Program. A joining fee may apply.

6J. Cash flow: Cash flow can be extended by up to 51 days for charge Card products depending on when you make a purchase, when your statement is issued and whether or not you are carrying forward a balance on your account from your previous statement period.

7J. Gift Card or voucher rewards are not redeemable or exchangeable for cash or credit. Normal retailer Gift Card or voucher conditions apply, refer to the Gift Card or retailer website for details. Minimum redemption amounts apply.

9J. Subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Membership Rewards program available here and the David Jones Partner Terms and Conditions available at davidjones.com.au. Only American Express Cards issued by American Express Australia Limited are eligible provided they are enrolled in the Membership Rewards program. A minimum of 3,000 points must be redeemed at any one time. If redeeming with Points + Pay, the 'pay' component of your purchase will be automatically billed to your American Express Card Account and will appear on the first billing statement following redemption. You’ll earn Membership Rewards points on the 'pay' component of your purchase only.

10J. Corporate Membership Rewards for Companies:
a. Subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Corporate Membership Rewards program available at www.americanexpress.com.au/corporatemr. Corporate Membership Rewards enrolment required (an annual fee applies, but is waived for American Express Corporate Platinum Card Members). Enrolment in the program is not automatic. Merchants classified as "government" include the Australian Taxation Office, the Australian Postal Corporation (Australia Post), Federal/State and Local Government bodies. Industry specific earn rate may apply when you use a payment account, payment aggregator, services of a third party or online retailers that sell goods for another merchant. For example a payment made to Local Government bodies processed through a payment aggregator may earn rates at the government earn rate. There may be tax implications associated with your participation in the Membership Rewards program. You are advised to check with you accountant or tax adviser for further information.

11J. Emergency Global Assist: You must arrange all medical and visitor transportation. As the Global Assist Hotline is an assistance service, we cannot reimburse you for expenses you incur on your own. Please refer to the Global Assist Summary of Coverage for additional details and restrictions. Only available when you travel more than 200km from your home, for up to 90 consecutive days.

12J. Corporate Cash: Corporate Card Members are only eligible to enrol in Corporate Cash if the Company has agreed to participate and has pre-registered in the program. A fee applies. All Cash application forms must be signed by the Card Member and the Company's nominated Corporate Cash Verifying Officer. Please contact your Program Administrator for more information.

13J. Available to American Express clients that are enrolled in Concur Expense® and ExpenseIt, fees and charges may apply.

14J. Mobile Wallets: Apple, the Apple logo, iPhone and iPad are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the US and other countries. Apple Pay and Touch ID are trademarks of Apple Inc.

15J. Fraud Protection Guarantee: Provided that you notify us immediately upon discovery of any fraudulent transactions and you have complied with your Card Member Agreement, you will not be held liable for any unauthorised charges.

16J. Emergency Card Replacement: If your Card is lost or stolen, you must report it immediately. You can call American Express 24 hours a day. In Australia, call us on 1300 362 639. Once you have notified us, you are not liable for any unauthorised charges.

17J. The information has been prepared without taking into account your objectives, financial situation or needs. 18J. You are advised to speak with your accountant or tax adviser about the deductibility of this expense.

19J. The Offer  ends at 11.59pm AEST 30 June 2021 ("Offer Period"). The Offer is only open to residents of Australia aged 18 years or over who are employed by an organisation, (Australian Company, Partnership, Registered Foreign Company, Unregistered Foreign Company, Government Body, Co-operative, Incorporated Association, Unincorporated Association, Trust) with a valid ABN and an annual turnover of AU$10,000,000 per annum or more. 100,000 Membership Rewards Bonus Points will be awarded to companies that apply for the American Express Gold Corporate Card program by 30 June 2021, are approved and spend $10,000 in the first two (2) months from the American Express Gold Corporate Card approval date. Companies who currently hold, or who have previously held any American Express Corporate Card or American Express Qantas Corporate Card in the last 18 months are ineligible for this offer. 1. Eligibility

Receive 12 months complimentary membership of Centr: By Chris Hemsworth health and fitness App. To redeem this offer, you must subscribe to Centr using an eligible American Express Card via the following link: https://centr.com/join?partner=amex. You must enter your card details as per the Centr app subscription process, although your card will not be charged if you are eligible for the offer. Limit of one complimentary subscription per card, and one time per Card Member during the offer period.
3. Auto-Renewal & Cancellation
Your Centr App subscription will default to automatically renew at the conclusion of the complimentary membership period, and your American Express card will be charged at the standard rates published by Centr. If you do not wish to renew, you must cancel your Centr subscription no later than 24 hours before the end of your subscription period.
4. Existing Centr Members
If you already have a Centr subscription, you will be eligible to redeem this offer upon the expiration of your current Centr membership plan between 1 March 2021 and 28 February 2022.
You will need to cancel your existing subscription on the same platform you originally purchased it (centr.com, iOS app or Android app). You will still be able to access Centr after you have set your status to cancel, until the expiration of your subscription. After the expiration of your existing subscription, log into your account via the centr.com website (offer not available via app subscriptions), when logging in with an expired subscription, you will land on the subscription purchase page, if you have an existing credit card entered, remove it, then enter your eligible American Express card. Once we detect an eligible American Express card has been entered, you will be presented with the 12 month complimentary offer to accept.
