If you have a change of heart and are refused a refund on an unused item within 90 days, Refund Protection2 will reimburse you for eligible purchases of up to $500 made on selected American Express Cards.

Need peace of mind? 90-days’ Purchase Protection2 will also reimburse you for replacement or repair of damaged eligible purchases of up to $500 made on selected American Express Cards.

Here's a break for the butterfingers amongst us. If you accidentally break your Smartphone screen, we'll reimburse you for the cost of the screen repair up to $500, when you pay for your phone outright or monthly phone bill with an eligible American Express Card3.

Q: How do I make a claim?
A: To make a claim now, visit the ACE Claim Centre for American Express Card Members.

Q: What is the excess?
A: The excess payable is 10% of the repair amount

Q: What do I need to do to submit a claim?
A: You must:
    1. Have the Mobile Phone repaired by a repairer of your choice
    2. Submit a claim form with the following documents:
        a) Receipts of the repair
        b) Copy of your American Express Essential Credit Card statement showing the outright purchase of your Mobile Phone or your monthly phone bill.

Q: Am I eligible to make a claim?
A: To be eligible, your Smartphone must be paid for outright in a single transaction using Your American Express Essential Credit Card; or after making 3 monthly bill payments on your American Express Essential Credit Card. For full eligibility criteria refer to the Terms and Conditions.

Q: How often can I make a claim?
A: Reimbursement is restricted to two (2) eligible claims in a twelve (12) month period.

A fast and secure way to make online payments: you simply use your American Express account login details, choose your Card and we’ll auto-fill your information and payment details for you. Then all you have to do is simply confirm your order. This convenient American Express service is available to all Card Members with an americanexpress.com.au User ID and Password, who have an eligible Consumer or Small Business Card.

Prepaid, Corporate, Small Business Cards issued for specific merchants, and David Jones Storecards are not eligible.

This website does not take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs. It is important for you to read the Terms and Conditions and consider the appropriateness of that insurance in relation to your individual requirements.
