Chef's Story
Enrique Olvera opened Pujol (Mexico City), his flagship restaurant, in 2000 after being graduated from The Culinary Institute of America. Among other recognitions, Pujol occupies place 13 on the 50 Best Restaurants List. In 2014, Enrique successfully broke into the US market with Cosme restaurant in New York, which was named best new restaurant of the year by The New York Times, and currently occupies place 25
on the 50 Best Restaurants List.
Olvera’s cooking is constantly changing; it draws ideas from everywhere, always reinterpreting and evolving, but with the roots in Mexican ingredients and techniques of all times. He recombines Mexico’s nearly infinite ingredients and flavours, demonstrating an extraordinary food culture’s potential in obsessive detail.
The chef is also author of the books: Uno (2010), En la milpa (2013), and Mexico from the Inside Out (Phaidon, 2015), and contributor to the food journal, Boomerang (2015). He is also launching Tu Casa Mi Casa: Mexican Recipes for the Home Cook this March (2019).

Participating restaurants are subject to change without notice. Benefits vary by participating restaurant. The benefits have no cash value, cannot be exchanged or substituted, and cannot be combined with any other dining promotions or offers unless indicated otherwise. In order to take advantage of the benefits, reservations must be made through your Relationship Manager, Centurion Concierge or Platinum Concierge and the restaurant charge must be charged to your eligible American Express Card. Fulfilment of the program benefits is the responsibility of the individual participants. The reserved table benefit is limited to one (1) table for up to four (4) people or two (2) tables for up to two (2) people until approx. 10 am daily. Reservations are based on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability. In the event of a reservation cancellation, the Card Member will be subject to the restaurant’s cancellation policy, which will be communicated to the Card Member by your Relationship Manager, Centurion Concierge or Platinum Concierge at the time of booking. Concierge is not responsible for informing the restaurant of your dietary restrictions or for the restaurant being able to accommodate the restrictions; we do ask that you provide this information directly to the restaurant.
- Upon authorisation by the Card Member, Concierge uses its best efforts to source or arrange the reservation as requested. Concierge services are provided at no charge, however Card Members pay supplier for authorised charges. If applicable, Card Members will be advised of the amount of a no-show reservation fee at the time of booking. American Express is not responsible for the acts or omissions of suppliers, and cannot guarantee fulfilment of Card Member requests in all instances
