1. Amex Express Checkout

Amex Express Checkout enables you to retrieve your payment details (such as your name, address and card information) using your American Express online User ID and Password when you make a purchase online with a merchant.

2. Using Amex Express Checkout

When you use Amex Express Checkout we share your payment details directly with the merchant. The merchant then uses those details to process and ship your purchase in the usual way. We are not responsible for the merchant’s use of your payment details and will not be liable to you for any loss you suffer as a result. As with all purchases you make online, you should review the merchant’s security and privacy policies.

If you are using Amex Express Checkout on behalf of a company or business, you must be authorised to do so.

Make sure your payment and shipping details are correct

Before you complete your purchase, you should check that the information in your checkout (such as your name and shipping address) is complete, accurate and up to date.

Security and protecting your User ID and Password

Make sure you protect your American Express online User ID or Password and do not share them with anyone. You must not allow anyone to use the Amex Express Checkout on your behalf. If you do, you will be responsible for all resulting charges on your account.

Notice anything unusual or suspicious?

If you believe that someone has accessed or used your card account, or if you are aware of any fraudulent or suspicious activity, you must inform us and change your American Express online User ID and Password immediately.

3. Eligibility

Not all cards are eligible for Amex Express Checkout. Cards issued by our partner Banks, Corporate Cards, David Jones Storecard, Small Business Cards for specific merchants, and Prepaid Travel Cards are not eligible.

4. Merchants’ Goods & Services

American Express provides Amex Express Checkout to make it easier for you to pay for goods and services online. You purchase those goods and services directly from the merchant and not from American Express.

The fact that you can use Amex Express Checkout at a particular merchant does not mean that American Express endorses, recommends or sponsors the merchant in any way.

5. Data Protection & Privacy
