1. Subject to approval. Account must be in good standing. You, the Basic Cardmember, will be liable for all charges to a Supplementary Card. An Additional Card is a Supplementary Card. No annual fee for Supplementary Cards. Supplementary Cardmembers must be at least 13 years old. Maximum of 9 Supplementary Cards per account.
2. Provided your account is in good standing, cash back can be earned on eligible purchases less returns and other credits. Interest charges, fees and cash equivalent transactions are not purchases and do not qualify for cash back.
3. You can earn 4% cash back for eligible purchases at American Express retail merchants as follows: (i) at stand-alone automobile gasoline stations in Canada, and (ii) at stand-alone grocery stores in Canada, up to a maximum of $30,000 in purchases posted to your account on this category (equal to $1,200 cash back) annually. Once the maximum is reached, you will no longer earn 4% regardless of credits, returns and adjustments subsequently posted to your account. After that, you will then earn 2% on eligible purchases. Calculation resets to zero each year on the Cardmembership anniversary date. Purchases at merchants where gas and grocery are not their primary business (including superstores, wholesale clubs, alcohol retailers and general merchandise retailers) do not qualify for these categories.
   Merchants are typically assigned codes and categorized based on what they sell. Earn rate of 2% cash back on eligible purchases applies when the merchant code is not in an eligible category, using a payment account or service of a third party, a card reader attached to a mobile phone or online retailer that sells goods of other merchants or the merchant category is otherwise not identified. Provided your account is in good standing, cash back can be earned on eligible purchases less returns and other credits. Interest rate charges, annual fees, other fees and cash equivalent transactions are not purchases and do not qualify for cash back. If you choose to return a purchase or are otherwise entitled to a credit or adjustment that is related to a purchase, your entitlement to cash back rewards will be reduced accordingly. All deductions for returns, credits and adjustments will be calculated at the earn rate in effect at the time of the return, credit or adjustment. This means that the cash back rewards deducted from your balance may be different from the amount originally earned. Cash back is applied as a credit to your account annually and will appear on the statement issued in September of each year. The cash back calculation resets annually. All references to you means the Basic Cardmember.
4. Purchase must be charged in full to an American Express Card. Subject to availability and to event and ticketing terms, restrictions, verification procedures and fees.  Tickets and packages may not be transferable and should not be resold. No refunds and no exchanges subject to merchant's obligations under applicable law.
5. Available to American Express Consumer and Small Business Cards. Not applicable for all new purchases. The following purchases do not qualify and will still be processed even if the Cardmember has frozen the Card: automated or pre-authorized payments, recurring bills or subscriptions, transactions on any Supplementary Cards if only the Basic Card is frozen (each Supplementary Card must be frozen separately), mobile wallet transactions (including adding a Card to a mobile wallet), using the Card for online payments at merchants where the Card is stored on file or set up as the method of payment, and offline and delayed authorizations (such as purchases made aboard airlines). After freezing the Card, it will automatically unfreeze after 7 days.

8. This offer is only available to Cardmembers who received this offer directly from American Express. Offer is non transferable and should not be forwarded. Cannot be combined with other Additional Card offers. If you receive a statement credit in error, we reserve the right to deduct them from your account. An Additional Card is a Supplementary Card. All references to you means the Basic Cardmember.
   Add a Supplementary SimplyCash Preferred Card to your account between August 18, 2026 and October 29, 2026 to qualify for the offer listed below:
       • When the new Supplementary SimplyCash Preferred Cardmember has at least $1,000 in net purchases posted to their Supplementary SimplyCash Preferred Card within the first 3 months after Card approval, you can earn a $50 statement credit.
   You can receive only one offer per new Supplementary Card, up to a maximum of two offers for the first two new Supplementary Cards added during the offer period.    You must apply for a Supplementary Card through the link provided on this page or by calling 1-800-869-3016. Account must be in good standing during offer period and at time of offer fulfilment. If we determine you have engaged in any abuse related to the offer and/or program, we reserve the right to forgo issuing the statement credit, deduct it from your account, and/or cancel your basic account and you will not be eligible for a fee refund. Abuse can include but is not limited to, applying for multiple Cards to earn statement credits, applying for a Card under your own name, a false name or date of birth, cancelling your existing Supplementary Card(s) to take advantage of this offer, or booking travel or any other purchases to meet the spend requirement and cancelling/refunding later. We may ask to provide ID proof associated with the Supplementary Cardmember at any point of time. Statement credit will be credited to your SimplyCash Preferred account by March 15, 2027.
   A statement credit does not constitute a payment and does not satisfy the requirement to pay the minimum due on a credit Card. The Basic Cardmember must continue to make separate payments of at least the minimum due in accordance with the Cardmember agreement and account statement applicable to their Card account.
