Each Supplementary Platinum Card $250 annually. The first two Supplementary Gold Reward Cards $0 annually. Any additional Supplementary Gold Cards $50 annually. Supplementary Cardmembers must be at least 13 years old. Maximum of 9 Supplementary Cards per account.
- Provided your account is in good standing, points can be earned on eligible purchases less returns and other credits. Interest charges, fees and cash equivalent transactions are not purchases and do not qualify for points.

Account must be in good standing. 7,500 bonus Membership Rewards points will be awarded for each approved Supplementary Platinum Card and 1,000 bonus Membership Rewards points will be awarded for each approved Supplementary Gold Rewards Card. If we determine you have engaged in any abuse related to the offer and/or rewards program, we reserve the right to forgo issuing the bonus points, deduct it from your account, and/or cancel your basic account and you will not be eligible for a fee refund. - You can earn Membership Rewards points (“points”) for eligible consumer purchases at American Express retail merchants as follows: 2 points for every $1 at or for restaurants, quick service restaurants, coffee shops, drinking establishments, and delivery of food in Canada as a primary business, but not including groceries; and 2 points for every $1 for travel services or travel bookings including air, water, rail and road transport, lodging and tour operator sales, but not including local and commuter transportation. Purchases at merchants where these categories are not their primary business such as general merchandise retailers do not qualify. Merchants are typically assigned codes and categorized based on what they sell. Earn rate of 1 point for every $1 applies when the merchant code is not in an eligible category, using a payment account or service of a third party, a card reader attached to a mobile phone or online retailer that sells goods of other merchants or the merchant category is otherwise not identified. Provided your account is in good standing, points can be earned on eligible purchases less returns and other credits. Interest charges, annual fees, other fees and cash equivalent transactions are not purchases and do not qualify for Membership Rewards points.
- You can redeem Membership Rewards points for a statement credit towards an Eligible Purchase charged to an Eligible Card. All Eligible Purchases: 1,000 points = $10 statement credit. You must redeem a minimum of 1,000 points per redemption. Eligible Purchases include purchases made at American Express merchants and charged to an Eligible Card. Funds advances, fees, balance transfers, Amex cheques and charges for travellers cheques are not Eligible Purchases. American Express may make changes to the types of purchases that are eligible for redemption with Use Points for Purchases at any time without notice. Eligible Cards are Consumer and Small Business Cards enrolled in the Membership Rewards program. Statement credits on your Card Account should not exceed the aggregate amount of the Eligible Purchase(s) on your Eligible Card. You can register for Online Services to view your Eligible Purchases and to redeem online. Only Eligible Purchases posted to your Card Account during the last 3 months, up to 150 most recent Eligible Purchases, will be displayed for redemption. If you wish to redeem points towards an Eligible Purchase within the last 12 months that is not displayed online, please contact us at the number listed on the back of your Card.

If an order is not available, a similar item of equal value or greater will be substituted whenever possible. Merchandise Delivery: Please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery. Cardmembers are required to provide a signature when rewards are delivered. Some items may have longer delivery times—this will be indicated. Orders are shipped via courier and require complete mailing address and telephone number for daytime delivery. (Orders cannot be shipped to a post office box.) Merchandise Returns: Redeemed rewards are not refundable, exchangeable, replaceable or transferable for cash or credit. - Membership Rewards points can be redeemed for Gift Cards or certificates and other merchandise. The Gift Card or Certificate is subject to the Terms and Conditions indicated on the reward.
- Platinum Concierge – Upon authorization by the Platinum Cardmember, Platinum Concierge uses its best efforts to source or arrange the reservation as requested. Platinum Concierge services are provided at no charge; however, Platinum members pay supplier for authorized charges. If applicable, Platinum members will be advised of the amount of a no-show reservation fee at the time of booking. Amex Bank of Canada is not responsible for the acts or omissions of suppliers, and cannot guarantee fulfillment of Platinum member requests in all instances.
- Global Dining Collection – Benefits available for Canadian Platinum Cardmembers at participating restaurants. Account must be in good standing. Participating restaurants are subject to change without notice. Benefits vary by participating restaurant. The benefits have no cash value, cannot be exchanged or substituted, and cannot be combined with any other dining promotions or offers unless indicated otherwise. In order to take advantage of the benefits, reservations must be made through Platinum Concierge and the restaurant charge must be charged to your Platinum Card. Fulfillment of the program benefits is the responsibility of the individual participants. The reserved table benefit is limited to one (1) table for up to four (4) people or two (2) tables for up to two (2) people until approx. 10 am daily. Reservations are based on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability. In the event of a reservation cancellation, the Cardmember will be subject to the restaurant’s cancellation policy, which will be communicated to the Cardmember by Concierge at the time of booking. Concierge is not responsible for informing the restaurant of your dietary restrictions or for the restaurant being able to accommodate the restrictions; we do ask that you provide this information directly to the restaurant.
- Global Lounge Collection – Holders of the Platinum Card may access participating Canadian and International airport lounges (“Participating Lounges”) on a complimentary basis, upon presentation of the required entry documentation. Participating Lounges may change from time to time. For a complete listing of partners and full terms & conditions of each Participating Lounge, visit americanexpress.ca/platinum-lounge. House rules, number of visits per calendar year and terms and conditions of Participating Lounges apply. Use of Participating Lounges is subject to availability. Unless otherwise stated, Participating Lounge access cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or benefit and is subject to change or cancellation at any time.
- Valid only for new Fine Hotels + Resorts (FHR) bookings made through Platinum Card Travel Service, americanexpress.ca/travel or americanexpress.ca/FHR. Payment must be made with an American Express Card in the Canadian Platinum Cardmember's name. Available for Canadian cardholders of The Platinum Card® from American Express. Platinum Cardmember must travel on the itinerary booked under FHR reservations to be eligible for benefits described. Limit of one (1) benefit package per room per stay. Benefit package can include Noon check-in, Room upgrade, Daily breakfast for two people, guaranteed 4:00 pm late check-out, plus a unique property benefit. Noon check-in and room upgrade based on availability and provided at check-in. Certain room categories are not eligible for room upgrades. Call Platinum Card Travel Service for details. The type and value of the daily breakfast (for two) varies by property. The actual value of the daily breakfast will be communicated at the time of check-in. Daily breakfast will be valued at a minimum of US$60 per room per day. Any charges that exceed the value of the daily breakfast will be the responsibility of the Cardmember and will be charged separately. To receive the breakfast credit, the breakfast bill must be charged to your hotel room. The breakfast credit will be applied at check-out. Unique property benefit varies by property, is subject to change, and cannot be redeemed for cash. To receive the unique property benefit, the eligible spend must be charged to your hotel room and the credit will be applied at check-out. FHR cannot be combined with other offers unless indicated. Benefit package expires at check-out. Platinum Cardmembers may book up to a maximum of three (3) rooms under the FHR Program per stay. Back-to-back stays booked by a single Cardmember, Cardmembers travelling in the same party and staying in the same room, within a 24-hour period at the same property are considered one stay and are ineligible for additional FHR benefits (“Prohibited Action”). American Express and the Property reserve the right to modify or revoke FHR benefits at any time without notice if we or they determine, in our or their sole discretion, that you may have engaged in a Prohibited Action, or have engaged in abuse, misuse, or gaming in connection with your FHR benefits. In the event the Platinum Cardmember cancels the reservation(s), FHR rates and benefit package will no longer apply to any remaining reservation(s). Participating Fine Hotels + Resorts properties and benefits are subject to change. Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided in room, with the exception of select properties where In-Room Wi-Fi is included as part of a mandatory daily resort fee or is not available. In these instances complimentary Wi-Fi will be provided in a common space on property. Call Platinum Card Travel Service for property specific details regarding Wi-Fi.
- i. Toronto Pearson Valet Service – Basic and Supplementary Platinum Cardmembers must charge the parking fee to their Platinum Card for the associated Valet fee to be waived. Waived fee applies only to Toronto Pearson Airport Valet Services in Terminal 1. For more information on Valet Service, visit torontopearson.com.
ii. Toronto Pearson 15% Parking Discount – 15% discount off the cost of parking (including taxes) will be provided as a credit to your Platinum Card statement. The parking lot is subject to availability. Discount available at Express Park in Terminal 1 and Daily Park in Terminals 1 & 3. 15% discount cannot be used when reserving parking on Greater Toronto Airport Authority’s (GTAA) Parking Reservation system or in conjunction with any other offers or discounts offered by GTAA. iii. Pearson Priority Security Lane – American Express Basic and Supplementary Cardmembers with an eligible Card are entitled to access the Pearson Priority Lanes (“Priority Lanes”). The Priority Lanes are serviced by the Greater Toronto Airport Authority. Priority Lanes are located at select departure areas at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport in Terminals 1 & 3. Access to a Pearson Priority Lane is available to eligible Canadian Cardmembers and companions travelling on the same itinerary. The eligible Cardmember can request single-use QR Codes online by visiting go.amex/yyz. For assistance, please call the phone number on the back of your card. Access to the Priority Lanes is intended for the Basic and Supplementary Cardmember and a reasonable number of persons travelling with them on the same itinerary. If we determine, in our sole discretion, that a Cardmember (or Supplementary Cardmember, as applicable) is not using this benefit as intended, we reserve the right to revoke your access to the benefit or to cancel your Card account. All passengers departing from Pearson International Airport, including those accessing the Priority Lane, are required to comply with airport security and customs screening requirements. Priority Lanes access is subject to change or cancellation at any time and additional terms and conditions apply.
iv. Toronto Pearson Discounted Car Care – Car Care services must be charged to your eligible Platinum Card. 15% discount off cost of Car Care services (including taxes) will be provided as a statement credit. Only Canadian American Express Cards are eligible for the Car Care services. Subject to availability. Access to the Car Care services is available in Terminal 1 on level 5 of the Daily Park garage. For more information on parking lots, visit torontopearson.com. - Hertz – Platinum Cardmembers must enrol directly with Hertz to receive Hertz Gold Plus Rewards® Five Star Tier membership (“Membership”). Membership is subject to the terms, conditions and restrictions of Hertz which are subject to change without notice. American Express reserves the right to instruct Hertz to cancel your membership if you cease to be a Platinum member or your account is not in good standing. Benefits vary by market and location of rental, and may be subject to change and availability. Not all benefits are available in every country. Gold Plus Rewards Five Star enrolment is required to enjoy all benefits. Additional Hertz Terms and Conditions apply. Additional Avis Terms and Conditions apply. Third party bookings through Tour Operators or Online Travel Agencies, including Amex Travel Online, are not eligible for Avis benefits.
- Purchase must be charged in full to an American Express Card. Subject to availability and to event and ticketing terms, restrictions, verification procedures and fees. - Terms and conditions, rental location and rental vehicle exclusions apply. Discount available on the best prepaid and non-prepaid retail rates and it applies to time, mileage and all mandatory insurance and waivers included in the base rate (excludes Dream Collection, Supercars, Vans and other commercial vehicles). One car class upgrade is available on standard vehicles only, excluding Hertz Collections (Vans, and all Collection cars, Green/Fun/Prestige/Family/Dream/Supercar vehicles), on rentals of five consecutive days or more and is applicable in all participating destinations excluding Japan and is subject to availability. Fee will be waived for one (1) additional driver providing the additional driver is listed on the rental agreement and meets the required driving credentials for the country where the vehicle is rented. - You may select a spending amount up to which a Supplementary Cardmember will be able to make charges to their Supplementary Card during each billing period. This spending amount is not affected by payments or credits made by or on behalf of the Supplementary Cardmember during a billing period. The spending amount will automatically reset at the beginning of each new billing period. It is your responsibility to ensure each Supplementary Cardmember is made aware of any spending amount that applies to their account as well as the date on which the spending amount resets each month. You can select a different spending amount for each Supplementary Cardmember.
- You may change the set spending amount you have previously selected at any time. If the spending amount is increased, the Supplementary Cardmember’s ability to charge will be increased once we are able to process the change. Unlike the initial enrolment of a Supplementary Cardmember, charges made by that Supplementary Cardmember before that date will be included in the spending amount for the current billing period. For example, if a Supplementary Cardmember has a $1000 spending amount in place and has already made $750 in charges so far this billing period, if you increase the spending amount to $2000 per month, that $750 balance will be included as part of the $2000 spending amount. This means that the Supplementary Cardmember will only be able to charge $1250 for the remainder of the current billing period and then $2000 for each billing period thereafter.

The following purchases do not qualify and will still be processed even if the Cardmember has frozen the Card: automated or pre-authorized payments, recurring bills or subscriptions, transactions on any Supplementary Cards if only the Basic Card is frozen (each Supplementary Card must be frozen separately), mobile wallet transactions (including adding a Card to a mobile wallet), using the Card for online payments at merchants where the Card is stored on file or set up as the method of payment, and offline and delayed authorizations (such as purchases made aboard airlines).
