1 No Pre-Set Spending Limit on purchases does not mean unlimited spending. Your purchases are approved based on a variety of factors, including your credit history, account history, and personal resources. Proof of resources and security may be required.
2 As a charge card, the balance must always be paid in full each month in which no interest charges will apply. The interest free grace period is 28, 29, 30 or 31 days from the closing date of the current statement to the closing date of the next statement depending on the number of days in the calendar month in which the closing date occurs. The number of interest free days varies based on a variety of factors, including when charges are posted to your account, whether your account is in good standing, and the closing date of your statement.
3 In the case of a Corporate Card, participation in the Membership Rewards Program is subject to the approval of the company or other entity in whose name the Card account is opened. In order to participate and before any points can be earned, the Cardmember must first enroll in the Program (except for the Corporate Platinum Card from American Express which, if company approval is given, is automatically enrolled in the Program). Cardmembers are solely responsible for the determination of any tax liability arising out of accrual or redemption of points. In the case of American Express Corporate Cards, the Program and points are for the sole benefit and use of Cardmembers even if the company or other entity in whose name the account is opened has paid the Program fees. Points can only be earned by, issued to and redeemed by Cardmembers. The company or other entity may also cancel participation in the Program at any time. 4 Account must be in good standing. Membership Rewards points will be earned by the Basic Cardmember on the amount of all purchases, less credits and adjustments. Interest charges, annual fees, other fees and cash equivalent transactions are not purchases and do not qualify for Membership Rewards points.
5 You can redeem Membership Rewards points for a statement credit towards an Eligible Purchase charged to an Eligible Card. You must redeem a minimum of 1,000 points per redemption. Redemption rates may vary by Eligible Card. Statement credits on your Card Account should not exceed the aggregate amount of the Eligible Purchase(s) on your Eligible Card. If an otherwise Eligible Purchase participates in the American Express Installment Program, only the amount billed each month will be counted as an Eligible Purchase. You can register for online services to view your Eligible Purchases and to redeem online. Only Eligible Purchases posted to your Card Account during the last 3 months, up to 150 most recent Eligible Purchases will be displayed for redemption. If you wish to redeem points towards an Eligible Purchase within the last 12 months that is not displayed online, please contact us at the number listed on the back of your Card.
