1. Purchase must be charged in full to an American Express Card. Subject to availability and to event and ticketing terms, restrictions, verification procedures and fees. Tickets and packages may not be transferable and should not be resold. No refunds and no exchanges subject to merchant's obligations under applicable law.
2. Welcome Bonus of up to $100 in Statement Credits - This offer is only available to new SimplyCash® Card from American Express Cardmembers. For current or former SimplyCash® Card from American Express Cardmembers, we may approve your application, but you will not be eligible for this offer. Offer subject to change at any time. To qualify, you must have at least $300 in net purchases posted to your account by the last day of each monthly billing period in the first 10 months of Cardmembership. Purchases made during a billing period but posted after the end of that billing period may not count towards eligible spend for that month. If this occurs, that purchase will count towards eligible spend for the next billing period. For example, if your monthly billing period is from Aug 15 to Sept 14, a purchase made on Sept 14 (transaction date) and posts on Sept 15th (posting date) may not count for eligible spend for that month. In this case, that purchase will count towards spend in the next month’s billing period. If the Aug 15 to Sept 14 period was your 10th monthly billing period, then the purchase made on Sept 14 and posting on Sept 15 would not count toward this offer. Statement credit will be reversed if returns result in the required spend threshold not being achieved. Account must be in good standing. Please allow up to eight weeks for your statement credits to be credited to the account. A statement credit does not constitute a payment and does not satisfy the requirement to pay the minimum due on a credit card. The Basic Cardmember must continue to make separate payments of at least the minimum due in accordance with the Cardmember agreement and account statement applicable to their registered Card account. Interest rate charges, annual fees, other fees and cash equivalent transactions are not purchases and do not qualify for this offer. All references to you means the Basic Cardmembe
3. You can earn 2% cash back for eligible purchases at American Express retail merchants as follows: (i) at stand-alone automobile gasoline stations in Canada, and (ii) at stand-alone grocery stores in Canada, up to a maximum of $15,000 in purchases posted to your account on this category (equal to $300 cash back) annually. Once the maximum is reached, you will no longer earn 2% regardless of credits, returns and adjustments subsequently posted to your account. After that, you will then earn 1.25% on eligible purchases. Calculation resets to zero each year on the Cardmembership anniversary date. Purchases at merchants where gas and grocery are not their primary business (including superstores, wholesale clubs, alcohol retailers and general merchandise retailers) do not qualify for these categories.
Merchants are typically assigned codes and categorized based on what they sell. Earn rate of 1.25% cash back on eligible purchases applies when the merchant code is not in an eligible category, using a payment account or service of a third party, a card reader attached to a mobile phone or online retailer that sells goods of other merchants or the merchant category
is otherwise not identified. Provided your account is in good standing, cash back can be earned on eligible purchases less returns and other credits. Interest rate charges, annual fees, other charges, and cash equivalent transactions are not purchases and do not qualify for cash back. If you choose to return a purchase or are otherwise entitled to a credit or adjustment that is related to a purchase, your entitlement to cash back rewards will be reduced accordingly. All deductions for returns, credits and adjustments will be calculated at the earn rate in effect at the time of the return, credit or adjustment. This means that the cash back rewards deducted from your balance may be different from the amount originally earned. Cash back is applied as a credit to your account annually and will appear on the statement issued in September of each year. The cash back calculation resets annually. All references to you means the Basic Cardmember. Additional conditions and restrictions apply as set out in the cash back program terms and conditions following the Cardmember Agreement.
4. This offer is only available to new American Express® Green or Choice Card from American ExpressTM Cardmembers. For current or former Choice Card from American ExpressTM or American Express® Green Card Cardmembers, we may approve your application, but you will not be eligible for the Welcome Bonus. Offer valid for applications received through the link provided on this webpage if offered. To qualify for the Welcome Bonus, you must have at least $1,000 in net purchases posted to your account in your first 3 months of Card membership. Account must be in good standing. 5. You can earn Membership Rewards points for eligible consumer purchases at American Express retail merchants as follows: 1 point for every $1 in eligible purchases charged to your Card. Provided your account is in good standing, points can be earned on eligible purchases less returns and other credits. Interest charges, fees, and cash equivalent transactions are not purchases and do not qualify for Membership Rewards points.
6. Use Points for Purchases – You can redeem Membership Rewards points for a statement credit towards an Eligible Purchase charged to an Eligible Card. All Eligible Purchases: 1,000 points = $10 statement credit. You must redeem a minimum of 1,000 points per redemption. Eligible Purchases include purchases made at American Express merchants and charged to an Eligible Card. Funds advances, fees, balance transfers, Amex cheques and charges for traveler’s cheques are not Eligible Purchases. American Express may make changes to the types of purchases that are eligible for redemption with Use Points for Purchases at any time without notice. Eligible Cards are Consumer and Small Business Cards enrolled in the Membership Rewards program. Statement credits on your Card Account should not exceed the aggregate amount of the Eligible Purchase(s) on your Eligible Card. You can register for Online Services to view your Eligible Purchases and to redeem online. Only Eligible Purchases posted to your Card Account during the last 3 months, up to 150 most
recent Eligible Purchases, will be displayed for redemption. If you wish to redeem points towards an Eligible Purchase within the last 12 months that is not displayed online, please contact us at the number listed on the back of your Card.
