Contest open to residents of Canada who are
age of majority and who are not an employee
of, a member of the immediate family of or domiciled
with an employee of Amex Bank of Canada, Amex
Canada Inc., the independent contest organization
and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates,
advertising or promotional agencies, agents
- To enter, apply for an American
Express® Tiger Woods Credit Card:
(a) online at www.americanexpress.ca,
(b) by phone at 1-800-268-2639,
or (c) by completing an application for the
American Express Tiger Woods Credit Card during
the contest period May 27, 2002 to August 31,
2002, inclusive. Only the Basic applicant is
eligible to enter. To enter without applying
for an American Express Tiger Woods Credit Card,
print your name, address and telephone number
on a 3 x 5 piece of paper and mail it to: Tiger
Woods Memorabilia Contest, Box 9271, St. John
NB, E2L 4Y7. Illegible entries, bulk drop-offs
or mechanical reproductions or facsimile entries
are ineligible. Each entry must be mailed separately
and must bear sufficient pre-paid postage if
sent through the postal service. All entries
must be received by midnight (Toronto time)
on August 31, 2002, the contest closing date.
The contest sponsor is: Amex Bank of Canada
(herein referred to as the "Contest Sponsor").
- There will be one prize awarded
consisting of a framed print of four Grand Slam
Flags signed by Tiger Woods. Prize must be accepted
as awarded and is not convertible into cash.
Approximate retail value: $15,000 Cdn.
- Random selection will be made
in St. John NB, at 1:00 p.m. on September 12,
2002 from all eligible entries received. A selected
entrant will be contacted by Amex Bank of Canada.
Before being declared a winner, the selected
entrant must first correctly answer, unaided,
a time-limited arithmetical skill testing question
to be administered by telephone. Odds of being
selected depend on total number of entries received.
- Winner consents to the use
of his/her name and/or photograph for advertising,
publicity and promotional purposes in all media,
including but not limited to within www.americanexpress.ca,
without compensation and agrees to execute a
specific consent to such use if asked to do
so. By entering the contest, entrants agree
to be bound by the contest rules and the decisions

and their respective employees are not responsible
for and shall not be liable for (a) any electronic,
hardware or software program, network, Internet
or computer malfunctions, failures, or difficulties
of any kind, including without limitation, server
malfunction or by any human error which may
occur in the processing of entries; (b) failed,
incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions;
(c) lost, late, misdirected, incomplete or incorrect
entries; or (d) any condition caused by events
beyond the control of Amex Bank of Canada that
may cause the promotion to be disrupted or corrupted.
Amex Bank of Canada reserves the right in its
sole discretion to cancel or suspend the contest
or any portion thereof should virus, bugs or
other causes beyond the control of Amex Bank
of Canada corrupt the administration, security
or proper play of the promotion. Entry information
becomes the property of Amex Bank of Canada.
- By participating entrants
consent to the collection, use and distribution
of their personal information by the Contest
Sponsor for the purposes of running the contest
(information is stored for approximately 1 year).
Contest Sponsor will not sell or transmit this
information to third parties except for the
purposes of administering the Contest.
- Any litigation respecting
the conduct or organization of this publicity
contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools,
des courses et des jeux du Québec for a ruling.
Any litigation respecting the awarding of a
prize may be submitted to the Régie only for
the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.

Provincial and Municipal laws.
