How do I redeem my points?

Redeeming your points for rewards online is easy:

To redeem:

1. After you have selected a reward, click on the "Redeem Now" button on the reward detail page.

2. You will be prompted to login to your Card account by entering your User ID and Password.

3. You'll be told how many points you have available and the name of the reward.

4. By default the redemption certificate is sent to your billing address. If you like us to send the voucher to an alternate delivery address, please fill in the delivery address in the fields provided.

5. Tick the box to confirm that you have read the Terms and Conditions. Then click "Continue".

6. Click "Submit" to confirm that the delivery details and reward item is correct.

7. Enter your Card Account number and the 4-digit number printed on the Card. Click "Continue" to complete your request.

8. You will be presented a "Thank You" page with points balance and a confirmation number. Quote this confirmation number when you have any enquiries about your redemption.

9. Please allow 14 working days for the delivery of your reward. Back to top

How do I transfer my points?

Transferring your points online is easy:

To transfer:

1. Login to your Card Account by entering your User ID and Password.

2. Then select the "Transfer Your Points" option under Membership Rewards™ and click "Go".

3. You'll be told how many points you have available. Select the program partner. Then click on "Transfer now".

4. Prior to transferring your points, please ensure that your frequent flyer/ stayer account is registered (linked) to your Membership Rewards™ account. Please call the Membership Rewards™ team on +44 (0) 1273 864 864, and from within Ireland 1850 923205, and they will gladly arrange this for you. Please allow up to 10 working days.

5. Fill in the number of reward points to be transferred. Tick at the box to confirm that you have read the Terms and Conditions. Then click "Continue".

6. Click "Submit" to confirm that the reward details and points transferred is correct.

7. You will be presented a "Thank You" page with points balance and a confirmation number. Quote this confirmation number when you have any enquiries about your redemption.

8. Transfers take up to 5 working days for your Membership Rewards points to reach your partner account. Unfortunately, American Express holds no responsibility for flight or accommodation availability; this is at the sole discretion of the partners. DO MEMBERSHIP REWARDS POINTS EXPIRE?

No. Unlike other card rewards programmes where your points expire in as little as one year, your Membership Rewards points do not expire*. So, you can save your points for higher value rewards including electronic gadgets and travel. Back to top

Yes, you can. When you are enrolled in Membership Rewards and belong to a participating Frequent Flyer or Frequent Guest Partner(s), you can call the Membership Rewards™ team on +44 (0) 1273 864 864, and from within Ireland 1850 923205, and they will gladly arrange this for you. ONCE I HAVE REDEEMED MY MEMBERSHIP REWARDS POINTS FOR A REWARD, CAN I CANCEL THE REDEMPTION AND REQUEST FOR THE REFUND OF THE POINTS?

No. Once points have been exchanged for a reward, the points cannot be converted back into your Membership Rewards account.
