You also get 2 complimentary Virgin Australia Guest Lounge Passes each year for friends or family to the VA Lounge, when travelling with you on a domestic Virgin Australia flight.

How is the limit on the Amex Velocity Platinum Card determined?

All American Express Credit Cards have a maximum Credit limit. Your highest limit will depend on your financial circumstances and the Credit Card you choose. When you apply for the Amex Velocity Platinum Card, you’ll have the opportunity to indicate your preferred Credit Card limit and approval for your credit line will be subject to our approval criteria. You should ensure that you nominate a limit that’s in line with your current financial circumstances.
It’s also important to know that choosing a low limit during the application process will not change your chances of approval. If you don’t choose a limit, we’ll assign you one, based on your current financial circumstances.

How do I earn and use the Velocity Points on my Card?

You earn Velocity Points from all eligible purchases made on your Amex Velocity Platinum Card for your everyday spend, bills, entertainment, travel bookings and more.
The points you earn on your Card are automatically transferred to your Velocity Frequent Flyer Account each month. You can then redeem them for flights with Virgin Australia and Velocity's network of airline partners with Rewards Seats, for upgrades, for hotels, resorts, cruises and tours, for car rentals or to shop at Virgin Wines Redemption.
