It's not every day you get to stay in a century-old Turkish prison, refurbished for luxury living. The building was designed in 1918 as a prime example of Turkish Neoclassical architecture, with an emphasis on pointed arches, ornate tiles, dramatic domes and towers.
Accommodations offer Istanbul vistas, from the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque to the courtyard and greenery. Rooms and suites feature original artwork, both contemporary and historic with select pieces dating back to the Ottoman empire.
