There are changes coming to the American Express® Aeroplan®* Business Reserve Card

1. These Terms and Conditions govern the American Express^® Aeroplan^®* Business Reserve Card participation in and use of the Priority Pass^™ program. Priority Pass is an independent airport lounge access program. American Express^® Aeroplan^®* Business Reserve Cardmembers acknowledge and agree that American Express will verify your email address on file and provide that information to Priority Pass to create your membership. Priority Pass will use this information to fulfill on the Priority Pass program and may use this information for marketing related to the program. Upon receipt of your enrollment information, Priority Pass will send you email instructions to receive your Priority Pass Digital Membership Card. For details on how Priority Pass uses your personal information, please refer to their privacy policy at www.prioritypass.com. Supplementary Aeroplan^®* Business Reserve Cardmembers are not eligible for a membership.

Once enrolled, Basic Aeroplan^®* Business Reserve Cardmembers whose Card Account is in good standing, may access participating Priority Pass lounges by presenting (i) their valid, unexpired physical Priority Pass Membership Card, or (ii) their valid Priority Pass Digital Membership Card, which will be scanned for lounge entry, together with their valid physical American Express^® Aeroplan^®* Business Reserve Card, and a confirmed same-day boarding pass. Cardmembers may access their Priority Pass Digital Membership Card through the Priority Pass app. In some lounges, Priority Pass members must be 21 years of age to enter without a parent or guardian. Priority Pass members must adhere to all house rules of participating lounges. Amenities may vary among airport lounge locations. Conference rooms, where available, may be reserved for a nominal fee. Priority Pass lounge partners and locations are subject to change. All Priority Pass members must adhere to the Priority Pass Conditions of Use, which can be viewed at www.prioritypass.com.

Please contact American Express using the number on the back of your American Express^® Aeroplan^®* Business Reserve Card if you experience any issues during enrollment. Priority Pass non-lounge airport experiences such as airport dining credits are only offered in a few select locations. Select locations are subject to change. Basic American Express^® Aeroplan^®* Business Reserve cardmembers are eligible to receive two (2) complimentary Priority Pass lounge passes per calendar year. Lounge passes will be issued upon Card Account opening and on January 1 of each calendar year. Enrollment in Priority Pass is required. Supplementary Cards are not eligible for lounge passes.

Basic Cardmembers can unlock four (4) additional Priority Pass lounge passes where total eligible spend on the Card Account is equal to or exceeds $25,000 in a calendar year. Once the spend threshold is met, these four (4) additional Priority Pass lounge passes will be available for use in the calendar year in which it became effective, and another four (4) additional Priority Pass lounge passes will be available in the following calendar year. Priority Pass lounge passes will be issued within one (1) week after meeting the spend requirement but may take up to twelve (12) weeks.  For the 2027 calendar year, eligible spend will be calculated from January 12, 2027, through December 31, 2027.

Cardmembers are eligible to receive a maximum of six (6) Priority Pass lounge passes per calendar year, comprised of two (2) complimentary lounge passes and four (4) additional lounge passes that can be unlocked. If a Cardmember has already received six (6) lounge passes in a calendar year, no additional lounge passes will be awarded. For example, if you reach $25,000 in eligible spend by May 1, 2027, four (4) additional Priority Pass lounge passes will become available from May 1, 2027 through December 31, 2027 (for a total of six (6) lounge passes for the 2027 calendar year), with a new set of four (4) additional lounge passes available from January 1, 2028, through December 31, 2028 (for a total of six (6) lounge passes for the 2028 calendar year). If you reach $25,000 in eligible spend by May 1, 2028, you will not receive any additional Priority Pass lounge passes for that calendar year (as you already have the maximum of six (6) lounge passes for 2028) but will receive four (4) additional lounge passes for use in 2029. Unused Priority Pass lounge passes expire on December 31 of the calendar year in which they are made available and do not carry forward to subsequent calendar years.

Eligible spend includes purchases, less credits, returns and adjustments. Interest charges, annual fees, other fees and cash equivalent transactions are not considered purchases and do not qualify as eligible spend. Eligible purchases made by Supplementary Cardmembers will contribute to the eligible spend on the account.  Spend tracking resets at the start of each calendar year. Spend qualification is based on the transaction date. For example, if you make a qualifying purchase on December 30, 2027 and it posts to your Account on January 5, 2028, the purchase will still count toward your 2027 spending requirement. Any additional Priority Pass lounge passes earned by reaching the spend threshold will be awarded after the transaction posts to your Account on January 5, 2028.

Cardmembers may bring a maximum of one (1) guest per visit, and the guest will count toward the Cardmember’s allocated number of lounge passes. A “pass” is defined as a single entry (per person) into a participating Priority Pass Lounge. Some Priority Pass lounges limit the number of guests or do not admit guests. After your lounge passes have been used, you may visit the lounges for a usage fee at the prevailing rate, which is subject to change without prior notice. By enrolling in Priority Pass, you agree that you will be responsible for any additional accompanying guest lounge passes and that you will be responsible to pay for any additional guests at the point of lounge entry directly through Priority Pass. 

American Express reserves the right to revoke Priority Pass lounge passes if you return, reverse or charge back eligible purchases in a way that reduces your eligible spend below the spend requirement for the calendar year. If American Express determines that you have engaged in abuse, misuse, or gaming in connection with this benefit in any way or that you intend to do so, we may freeze and cancel your card account. We may, at our discretion, consider it to be abuse related to the program if you earn benefit access from purchases and subsequently return or cancel those purchases.   

2. Basic American Express Aeroplan^®* Business Reserve Cardmembers are entitled to receive eight (8) complimentary passes per calendar year for use at select Aspire Lounges in partnership with American Express in Canada. Basic Aeroplan Business Reserve Cardmembers may bring a maximum of one (1) guest per visit, and the guest will count toward the Basic Cardmember’s allocated number of passes. Fees apply for additional guests. Guest must accompany the basic Cardmember. To access a lounge, the Basic Cardmember must present a valid, unexpired eligible American Express Aeroplan Card. The Basic Cardmember, and any eligible guest, must also present a confirmed boarding pass for same-day travel and government-issued photo identification in their name. House rules, terms and conditions apply. Lounge access is subject to availability. Unused passes expire at the end of each calendar year and cannot be carried over to a subsequent calendar year. Unless otherwise stated, lounge access cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or benefit and is subject to change or cancellation at any time. 3. A Basic Cardmember and Supplementary Cardmember(s) are each entitled to complimentary access to any Air Canada Café and any Maple Leaf Lounge worldwide. Access excludes Air Canada Signature Suites and lounges operated by third parties, such as Star Alliance member airlines. The Basic Cardmember and Supplementary Cardmember(s) are each entitled to offer one (1) guest complimentary access to the same eligible Maple Leaf Lounge and Air Canada Café. Any guest entering a Maple Leaf Lounge and Air Canada Café must be accompanied by a Basic Cardmember or Supplementary Cardmember. Additional guest(s) may enter the Maple Leaf Lounge upon paying an applicable fee. For greater certainty, a Basic Cardmember or Supplementary Cardmember who holds Aeroplan EliteTM Status, may additionally take advantage of the lounge access benefits available to them as part of the Aeroplan Elite Status program. Access to Maple Leaf Lounges and Air Canada Cafés are only available in conjunction with a same-day ticket when departing on a flight marketed or operated by Air Canada, Air Canada Rouge, under the Air Canada Express brand, or any Star Alliance member airline. Anyone under the age of majority entering a Maple Leaf Lounge or an Air Canada Café must be accompanied by an adult with access to the lounge. Age of majority is determined by the jurisdiction in which the Maple Leaf Lounge or an Air Canada Café is located. Benefit may only be used as described and otherwise cannot be transferred. Access is subject to space availability. Use of Maple Leaf Lounge or Air Canada Cafés are subject to applicable Maple Leaf Lounges Terms and Conditions.

4. Basic Cardmembers (“Cardmembers”) will receive a reduction of 15% on the Aeroplan points required to redeem for the base fare of eligible flight rewards, as compared to the number of points required to book the same itinerary by an Aeroplan member who is not a Cardmember. The points reduction applies to any inbound or outbound origin and destination pairing where the corresponding outbound or inbound origin and destination travel is fully operated by Air Canada, Air Canada Rouge or under the Air Canada Express brand and booked through aircanada.com, the Air Canada Mobile application, or the Air Canada call centre. The reduction will not apply where only a portion of the outbound origin and destination pairing or only a portion of the inbound origin and destination pairing is fully operated by Air Canada, Air Canada Rouge or under the Air Canada Express brand. The reduction is non-transferable and has no monetary or exchange value. Cardmembers must be logged into their Aeroplan account at the time of booking. Gift cards and eCoupons can only be applied to the cash portion of the ticket.  The Aeroplan account (including pooled accounts) must have sufficient points for the Aeroplan flight rewards redemption. Changes and cancellations follow Aeroplan Flight Reward Policy rules, and the Aeroplan member must remain a Basic Cardmember to be eligible for any future reductions to apply in the event of any changes to the booking.

5. The Air Canada Flight Benefit (the “Coupon”), is a benefit available only to Basic Cardmembers. The Basic Cardmember will receive one $50 CAD equivalent Coupon every six months for up to $100 CAD equivalent in a calendar year as set forth below.

Coupons are issued to the Basic Cardmember’s AC Wallet twice every calendar year, on January 15 and July 15. Each Coupon expires six (6) months after issuance.

The Coupon is valid towards a new booking only, and not valid on existing reservations. The Coupon may be applied as a credit toward the total cost of an eligible booking, including the base fare, for cash flight bookings marketed and operated by Air Canada^®, Air Canada Rouge^®, or under the Air Canada Express^® brand. Bookings must be made directly with Air Canada, via aircanada.com, the Air Canada mobile application, or through the Air Canada Contact Centre, and are subject to applicable fare rules and conditions. Booking must be made before the Coupon expiry date; travel may occur after the Coupon expiry date subject to flight schedule availability at the time of booking. Coupon may only be used as described, cannot be transferred and has no monetary or exchange value. To be eligible to receive and use a Coupon, the Basic Cardmember’s Aeroplan account must be in good standing and linked to the Aeroplan credit card by no later than 72 hours prior to the date the Coupon is issued. Supplementary Cardmembers are not eligible to receive a Coupon.

Unused Coupon(s) will automatically be cancelled from the AC Wallet upon credit card account closure, regardless of reason for closure.

If a Coupon is applied to a booking and the booking is cancelled or changed, the Coupon will be treated in accordance with the Air Canada’s applicable booking, change, and cancellation policies. Where a Coupon is reinstated to the Basic Cardmember’s AC Wallet pursuant to Air Canada’s applicable booking, change and cancellation policies, the original expiry date of that Coupon will continue to apply. If such change or cancellation occurs after the Coupon’s original expiry date, the Coupon will be expired.

Air Canada reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Coupon benefit, including the amounts, issuance schedule, eligibility, and validity periods, at any time.

6. The “Get a 4th Night Free” hotel benefit (the “Benefit”) applies to hotel room redemption bookings made by Cardmembers (each a “Cardmember”) with Aeroplan points at participating hotels. Unless otherwise permitted, the Benefit cannot be combined with any other offer.

For every 4 night consecutive hotel stay at a participating hotel booked using only Aeroplan points from the Aeroplan account of the Cardmember (or their Aeroplan family pooling account) on the travel booking website operated by Loyalty Travel Agency LLC, doing business as CX Loyalty (the “Website”), the Cardmember will receive a reduction equal to the average Aeroplan points value of one night within the 4 night stay. For example, a Cardmember booking a 4-night consecutive stay will only need to redeem Aeroplan points for 3 nights (e.g., 15,000 points per night required for 4 nights is 60,000 points but under the Benefit you only require 45,000 points (15,000 x 3) for the 4 nights). Or for an 8-night consecutive stay, the Cardmember will only need to redeem Aeroplan points for 6 nights and so forth.

The nights must be within the same stay at the same participating hotel, as part of the same booking and under the same confirmation number. Separate bookings cannot be combined to qualify for the Benefit. There will be no points refund or free night credit for any unused portion of the Benefit.

The redemption booking summary will show the taxes and fees included in the points redemption rate. Local taxes and fees (such as destination and/or resort fees) may not be included in your hotel room points redemption rate and will still apply to each hotel night booked with points and be payable directly at the hotel. Refer to the Travel Terms and Conditions of Loyalty Travel Agency LLC for more details. The number of points required for hotel redemption can fluctuate from night to night. The free night is based on the calculation of the average points cost per hotel room redemption night across all nights of the stay of 4 nights or longer. The average points required for one hotel room night redemption will then be removed from the total stay, one for every 4-night stay.

The amount of Aeroplan points required per night varies by the participating hotel, room type available at the participating hotel, length of stay, and may also vary by time of year. Points required per hotel room night redemption are updated continuously and may change at any time without notice. The Benefit applies to hotel redemptions of all room types made using only Aeroplan points on the Website. The Benefit is not applicable to bookings combining cash and points or cash only bookings. The Cardmember must have enough Aeroplan points (either in their own Aeroplan account or in their Aeroplan family pooling account) to cover the Aeroplan points required for the entire stay after applying the reduction corresponding to the average Aeroplan points required per one night for that stay, if and as applicable.

7. The “Get a 4th Day Free” vehicle rental benefit (the “Benefit”) applies to eligible vehicle rental bookings made by Basic Cardmembers and linked Supplementary Cardmembers with Aeroplan points at participating car rental providers. Unless otherwise permitted, the Benefit cannot be combined with any other offer.

For every 4 day consecutive vehicle rental booked with a participating car rental provider using only Aeroplan points from the Aeroplan account of the Cardmember (or their Aeroplan family pooling account) on the travel booking website operated by Loyalty Travel Agency LLC, doing business as CX Loyalty (the “Website”), the Cardmember will receive a reduction equal to the average Aeroplan points value of one of those four rental days within the 4 day reservation. For example, a Cardmember booking a 4-day consecutive rental will only need to redeem Aeroplan points for 3 days (e.g., 10,000 points per day required for 4 days is 40,000 points, but under the Benefit you only require 30,000 points (10,000 × 3) for the 4 days). For an 8-day consecutive rental, the Cardmember will only need to redeem Aeroplan points for 6 days, and so forth.

The rental days must be part of the same booking, for the same vehicle, at the same participating rental provider, and under the same confirmation number. Separate bookings cannot be combined to qualify for the Benefit. There will be no points refund or free day credit for any unused portion of the Benefit. The redemption booking summary will show the taxes and fees included in the points redemption rate. Local taxes, surcharges, fuel charges, insurance, and other fees may not be included in your vehicle rental points redemption rate and will still apply to each rental day booked with points and must be paid directly to the rental provider. Refer to the Travel Terms and Conditions of Loyalty Travel Agency LLC for more details.

The number of points required for vehicle redemption can fluctuate from day to day. The free day is based on the calculation of the average points cost per rental day across all days of the rental of 4 days or longer. The average points required for one rental day redemption will then be removed from the total booking, one for every 4 rental days.

The amount of Aeroplan points required per rental day varies by participating rental provider, vehicle type, location, length of rental, and may also vary by time of year. Points required per rental day are updated continuously and may change at any time without notice.

The Benefit applies to vehicle rental redemptions made using only Aeroplan points on the Website. The Benefit is not applicable to bookings combining cash and points or cash only bookings. The Cardmember must have enough Aeroplan points (either in their own Aeroplan account or in their Aeroplan family pooling account) to cover the Aeroplan points required for the entire rental after applying the reduction corresponding to the average Aeroplan points required per one rental day, if and as applicable. All Aeroplan Program terms and conditions apply.

8. A Basic Cardmember or Supplementary Cardmember (each, a “Cardmember”), and up to eight (8) additional passengers travelling on the same reservation (to a maximum of nine (9) travelers in total), are entitled to Priority Security Clearance (where available). Benefit only applies when checking in with Air Canada, for a flight operated by Air Canada, Air Canada Rouge or under the Air Canada Express brand. Benefit is not available if check-in is with another airline. The benefit applies each time the Cardmember travels, provided that the Aeroplan number of the Cardmember accessing the benefit is included in the qualifying reservation and the name on the reservation matches the name on the Cardmember’s Aeroplan account.

Priority Security Clearance is subject to availability and operational constraints and does not guarantee expedited processing or exemption from standard security screening procedures.
