What’s included?
Emergency Medical benefits are offered up to a maximum of $5,000,000 CAD per insured person, per trip, for reasonable costs incurred as a result of a medical emergency during your trip. You can be covered for the following:
Hospital & Medical
Expenses
Covers the cost of a medical emergency including hospital,surgical and medical treatments.
Dental
Expenses
Covers emergency dental expenses during your trip and up to $1,000 for continued treatment at home.
Professional
Services
Covers the cost of a physiotherapist, chiropractor, osteopath, chiropodist or podiatrist up to a maximum of $250 per profession, when ordered by a physician during your trip.

Coverage may be extended by calling 1-844-200-8959 and requesting an extension before your existing coverage for your trip terminates. Your request may be approved provided you meet the eligibility requirements and no event has occurred that would give rise to a claim under the insurance. If an event has occurred that would give rise to a claim, the extension of your insurance is subject to the approval of the Insurer.
Exclusions related to medical conditions that are not stable apply to medical conditions that are not stable and that existed prior to your trip. Please refer to the insurance certificates available to see how this applies and how it relates to your departure date, date of purchase, or effective date.
Emergency medical insurance could provide you coverage up to an overall maximum coverage of $5,000,000 per insured person, per trip, for reasonable and customary charges in respect to eligible expenses incurred as a result of an emergency for which medically necessary treatment is needed while travelling outside your province or territory of residence.
