The Randolph Hotel, by Graduate Hotels
The Alice restaurant honors Alice in Wonderland author Lewis Carroll, who once was a tutor in mathematics at nearby Christ Church College.
The design pays homage to Oxford’s famous alumni and innovators. Interiors are grand and showcase original features such as vaulted ceilings and elaborate molding. While no two rooms are alike, all embrace color and pattern with bold wallpaper and custom art. Bathrooms are tiled in classic black and white.
The Alice is an all-day brasserie serving seasonal, locally sourced British dishes with a contemporary twist. The Snug Cocktail Bar is inspired by a traditional English library, while the wood-paneled Morse Bar is an ode to Inspector Morse author Colin Dexter, who penned some of his most famous books in the hotel.
The Wellness Center offers a wide range of holistic and therapeutic services, including facials, massages, and mindfulness sessions. There is also a steam room and sauna.
Explore the charming town of Oxford, known as the City of Dreaming Spires. Highlights include signing up for a behind-the-scenes tour of Oxford University, browsing its unique shops, and exploring the Pitt Rivers Museum, which specializes in archaeology. The hotel also hosts specialty-themed dinners and events.
