- The applicant should be the American Express Card member/family member of the American Express Card member
- The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is up to 60 years
- Children between 90 days and 25 years can be covered
This health insurance plan covers the insured against hospitalization and medical charges as a result of suffering from illness or bodily injury during the period of insurance. It also provides cover for pre & post hospitalization medical expenses for a period of 60 and 90 days respectively. The hospitalization has to be on the advice of a medical practitioner and should be for a minimum period of 24 hours
In-patient Hospitalisation
Insurance company will cover for expenses for hospitalization due to any disease or illness or Injury during the policy period that requires an Insured Person’s admission in a hospital as an inpatient medical expense directly related to the hospitalization would be payable provided:
- No capping on limit on Room Rent
- No capping on Medical Expenses incurred towards claim for a specified treatment of an Illness or procedure and covered up to the Sum Insured applicable per claim during the Policy Year as specified in the Certificate of Insurance
World-wide cover for Critical Illness
Coverage under In-patient Treatment is extended to cover for Medical Expenses of the Insured Person incurred outside India, up to the Sum Insured, provided that the diagnostics was made in India and the Insured Person travels abroad solely for the purpose of treatment.
OPD Cover
Outpatient charges are covered up to Rs 25,000 over and above base sum insured. Out-patient services shall include only consultations, prescribed diagnostics and prescribed medicines.
Ambulance Cover
Insurance company will cover for expenses up to 1% of sum insured subject to maximum of 10,000 incurred on transportation of Insured Person in a registered ambulance to a hospital for admission in case of an Emergency or from one Hospital to another Hospital for better medical facilities and treatment
Pre and post hospitalization expenses
This benefit includes medical Expenses incurred within 60 days immediately before the Insured Person was hospitalized & 90 days immediately after the insured person was discharged from hospital.
Day Care Procedures
The Insurance company will cover expenses for listed Day Care Treatment due to disease or illness or Injury during the policy period taken at a hospital or a Day Care Centre. The policy covers the medical expense for a wide range of listed 541 Day care procedures up to the Sum Insured specified in the Certificate of Insurance
Restore Sum Insured Benefit
The Insurance company will automatically restore the Inpatient Sum Insured upon exhaustion of the Sum Insured during the policy period. This benefit can be availed once during the policy period subject to certain conditions as specified in the policy wording.
Cumulative Bonus
Provision of 20% Cumulative Bonus per year for every claim free year up to 100% of sum insured.
Wellness Services Program
This benefit provides tele-consultation with general and specialist medical practitioner. Wellness Services also includes annual health check-up for defined tests for the primary member and has to be booked via TATA AIG mobile application.
Organ Donor Expenses
The Insurance company will cover for medical and surgical expenses of the organ donor for harvesting the organ where in the insured person is the recipient
Domiciliary Treatment
The Insurance company will cover for expenses related to domiciliary hospitalization of the insured if treatment exceeds three days and treatment is for management of illness
Tata AIG shall not be liable or make any payment for any claim directly or indirectly caused by, based on, arising out of or howsoever attributable to any of the following:
- Any Declared and accepted Pre-existing disease shall be covered after waiting period of 2 Year.
- Any disease or illness except accidental cases shall be covered after initial waiting period of 30 days.
- Pregnancy, miscarriage (except of an accident or illness), treatment of obesity or any other weight control program
- Specified diseases and procedures shall be covered after waiting period of 2 years.
- War, war like operations, nuclear weapons, contamination
- Congenital external disease/ anomaly / defect.
- Intentional self-injury or attempted suicide , use of alcohol / intoxicating drugs

The minimum age of entry is 18 Years and a maximum of 60 years.
For children - The minumum entry age is 90 days and maximum of 25 years.
You can avail Sum Insured of Rs. 35 Lacs, Rs. 50 Lacs, Rs. 75 Lacs or Rs. 1 Crore.
No medical check-up required up to the age of 60 years.
Tax benefit under Section 80D can be availed.
Out-patient services include consultations, prescribed diagnostics, prescribed medicines.
