Terminal Illness Cover
Inbuilt waiver of premium on terminal illness rider
- The applicant should be the American Express Card member/family member of the American Express Card member
- The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is up to 65 years
Instant Claim Payout
Instant death benefit of Rs. 3 Lacs from the Sum Assured will be paid to the nominee upon claim registration and submission of basic documents.
Exclusions: Applicable only for Sum Assured of Rs. 1 Crore & above and for death after 3 policy years. Final claim settlement will be made after deduction of Rs. 3 Lacs (as Rs. 3 Lacs claim is already paid).
Early Exit Feature
In Life Plus Option insurance company will provide 100% ROP (return of premium) as surrender value any time after 25 policy years.
Return of Premium Life Plus Option
In this policy term, the Insured can stay financially protected without any worries with 100% return of total premium paid on survival at the end of policy term; that money can be used for meeting expenses in old age or gifting to the next generation
World-wide Coverage
This is a Global Policy, which means if Insured person is in India or in Abroad and any unfortunate or untimely death happens due to any reason then the nominee will get the Sum Assured amount.
Natural & Accidental Death Coverage
In case of death of the Life Assured due to natural or accidental causes, while the policy is in force and all due premiums have been paid, the death benefit as per the selected plan option will be payable to the nominee, subject to policy terms and conditions.
Terminal Illness Cover
The Life Insurance policy has inbuilt terminal illness rider. Insurance company will provide 50% of the Sum Assured amount to Insured person at the time of diagnosis so that the Insured person can use that amount for his treatment or pay his/her liabilities and rest 50% will be paid to nominee at the time of death.
Tax Benefit
The premium paid (up to Rs.1,50,000) under this policy is exempt from income tax under Sec 80C of Income Tax. The tax benefits are subject to change in tax laws.
- In case of death due to suicide within 12 months from the date of commencement of risk under the Policy or from the date of revival of the Policy, as applicable, the nominee or beneficiary of the Policyholder shall be entitled to at least 80% of the total premiums paid till the date of death or the surrender value available as on the date of death whichever is higher, provided the Policy is in force.
- From the date of exercising the Life Stage Option, the nominee or beneficiary of the policyholder shall be entitled to 80% of the premiums paid (excluding any extra premium, any rider premium and taxes) for the increased tranche(s). The original death benefit (based on the sum assured chosen at the time of purchase) and any increased death benefit purchased by exercising the Life Stage Option subsequently but prior to 12 months from the date of death (due to suicide) will remain payable in full.
- Terminal Illness Benefit - No claim will be payable if the condition arises directly or indirectly because of attempted suicide in the first year from inception or revival of policy. In case a Terminal Illness claim is not payable due to the above exclusions, the policy will continue with the applicable death cover.

Yes, you may change your beneficiary at any time till the maturity date of the policy. You need to inform the insurance company about the change through the beneficiary change request form.

Nomination is a right conferred on the life insurance policyholder to appoint a person or persons to receive the policy money in the event of the policy becoming a claim by death. Any policyholder who is a major and the Life Insured under a policy can make a nomination. A nominee is the person designated by the policyholder to receive the proceeds of an insurance policy, upon the death of the insured.
Yes, you can appoint more than one nominee. In case any money is to be paid to the nominees it will be paid equally to the opted nominees.
