Sam's Club, owned by Walmart, is offering $1,000 of free merchandise to 102 companies selected by SCORE, a nonprofit association that helps get small businesses off the ground. Sam's Club is also funding a small business conference. UPS recently sponsored a cash mob, giving consumers money to spend at a local business. FedEx gave out $25 gift cards to 40,000 consumers who shopped during Small Business Saturday. Google is currently offering to double small-business owners' AdWords Express advertising, matching what you spend in December with free advertising in January.
