Engagement is the key to building buzz on Twitter—and that means doing more than just dumping content from your blog or website onto your Twitter feed, writes Nicki Escudero at Resource Nation blog.
"Don’t just copy and paste links... make sure you’re responding to Tweets, retweeting interesting content and sharing your own engaging content that encourages discussion," she advises.
In addition, building your list rather than buying one will help your brand because you want followers who are personally invested in what your offering. That type of list allows for more personal and real engagement with your audience.
"The more interactions you have, the more other users will take notice of your account, and the only way to build up those mentions is by being sincere in communication," Escudero writes.
