The most recent G20 meeting, which met in Mexico City, has raised numerous concerns about the possibility of a global recession next year. The top concerns are:
- Europe's inability to reach a consensus on how to address the economic crisis in Greece and Spain
- Disagreement on whether Europe should create a "banking union" to minimize financial risks
- The U.S. Fiscal Cliff
- Weakening economic growth in emerging markets especially China
- Economic problems emerging in Japan.
