Car Rental Loss & Damage Insurance
Bread Cashback American Express Cardmembers are eligible for reimbursement for repair or replacement of a rented automobile as a result of damage or loss to the rented automobile anywhere in the United States and Canada. Reimbursement will be on an actual cash value basis, for damage or loss for which the insured is responsible. Coverage applies provided the entire rental fee for the rental automobile, less redeemable certificates, vouchers, coupons, or points has been charged to your Bread Cashback American Express Card. Coverage is limited to $50,000 per rental. The insured must file a claim with their primary insurance as this benefit is excess coverage. Certain exclusions, restrictions, and limitations apply. Retail Protection provides coverage for eligible items you purchased entirely with your Bread Cashback American Express Credit Card if damaged or stolen within ninety (90) days from the date of purchase. Coverage is limited to the actual cost of the item (excluding delivery and transportation costs) or to a maximum of $1,000 per loss and a total of $50,000 per Cardholder account per twelve month period, whichever is less. Emergency Assistance (Tier-1) provides a hotline with an emergency referral service for medical and legal providers and for certain travel emergencies on a 24-hour per day basis for Bread Cashback American Express Cardmembers and eligible travel companions traveling internationally. ID Theft Protection
ID Theft Insurance provides Bread Cashback American Express Cardmembers reimbursement for identity theft expenses incurred due to an identity theft occurrence. ID Theft Insurance also provides reimbursement for legal obligations for credit card forgery and counterfeiting resulting from an identity theft occurrence. Coverage for identity theft expenses is limited to a maximum of $2,500 per insured person; coverage for legal obligations is limited to a maximum of $2,500 per insured person.
