HK$100 cash rebate with spending of HK$2,000 net or above per transaction on hotel only bookings (maximum of a HK$500 cash rebate for each quarter)

The HK$100 Cash Rebate with Expedia (“Offer”) is valid for transactions made between January 1, 2019 and December 31, 2019 (“Promotion Period”).
Offer is available to Basic and Supplementary Cardmembers (“Cardmembers”) holding the American Express® Platinum Credit Card (“Eligible Card”) issued by American Express International, Inc. (“American Express”) in Hong Kong only.
Offer is available to Cardmembers making Eligible Transactions. An “Eligible Transaction” refers to Cardmembers using an Eligible Card to make a minimum net spend of HK$2,000 in one transaction at a “Selected Website” (www.expedia.com.hk/aeplatinum) within the Promotion Period. Splitting of a transaction is not allowed for the purpose of enjoying the Offer.
Each Eligible Card account can only receive a maximum of a HK$500 Cash Rebate (i.e. the Offer is applicable up to a maximum of 5 single Eligible Transactions made for each quarter) (i.e. January 1 to March 31; April 1 to June 30; July 1 to September 30; and October 1 to December 31, 2019). For the avoidance of doubt, Eligible Transactions for each Eligible Card account shall include the Eligible Transactions of both basic and supplementary cards issued under that Card account.
Offer is applicable to hotel only bookings, and does not include flight only, package (flight + hotel) and car rental bookings.
Offer can be used in conjunction with the “Expedia - 9% Savings on Selected Hotel bookings”. The minimum net spend threshold for an Eligible Transaction will be determined after the 9% savings is applied.
Payment must be made upfront at the time of booking on the Selected Website. Offer is not applicable to payments made directly upon the completion of travel or stay (if such option is available).
The HK$100 Cash Rebate will be credited to Eligible Card Accounts within 3-5 days after Eligible Transactions are posted to American Express by Expedia. The Eligible Card Accounts must be in good standing and not overdue to enjoy the Offer.
Offer will be clawed back from concerned Eligible Card Accounts if the Eligible Transactions are refunded.
Offer cannot be exchanged for cash, other products or services, unless otherwise specified.
If American Express and Expedia becomes aware, or has reason to suspect (in American Express’ and Expedia’s reasonable opinion), that a Cardmember:
(a) made multiple bookings with a view to re-selling any products and services available on the Selected Website; or
(b) is otherwise engaged in conduct which impacts on the fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Offer, American Express and Expedia may, in its absolute discretion, cancel all bookings made by the Eligible Cardmember without giving any reasons thereon.
Expedia is solely responsible for the services offered by Expedia to Eligible Cardmembers. American Express is not the provider of any of these services and makes no representation or warranty in relation to the same.
American Express shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss), or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, as a result of taking or using any of the complimentary offer, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
American Express and Expedia reserve the right to vary the terms and conditions of use of the Voucher or to withdraw the Voucher at any time. American Express and Expedia's decision shall be final in all matters relating to this Promotion.
In case of any dispute, the decision of American Express and Expedia shall be final.
In the event of any inconsistency between the English and Chinese versions of these Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.
