Do I need to submit two separate documents for proof of identity and proof of address?
NO. There is now no requirement of submitting two separate documents for proof of identity and proof of address. If any one of the officially valid documents (as listed below) submitted at the time of applying for a Credit Card has both, identity and address of the person, there is no need for submitting any other documentary proof. Officially valid documents (OVDs) for KYC purpose include: Passport, driving licence, voters' ID card, Aadhaar letter issued by UIDAI and Job Card issued by NREGA signed by a State Government official. To further ease the process, the Bank may authenticate your credentials via the e-KYC process made available from UIDAI after obtaining your explicit consent.
Do I need to submit a proof of current address for applying for a credit card?
No. If you have been transferred to a city other than your hometown then you may fill up the "Correspondence Address" section on the application form declaring your current address. The Bank will not insist on a proof of address for your current address
Is there any relaxation to apply for a Credit Card without officially valid documents?
In certain cases, the Bank may accept a copy of any of the following documents as a KYC document. The document should be valid at the time of applying a Credit Card. Please contact your relationship manager or the helpline to know more.
(a) identity card with applicant's photograph issued by Central/State Government Departments, Statutory/Regulatory Authorities, Public Sector Undertakings, Scheduled Commercial Banks, and Public Financial Institutions;
(b) letter issued by a gazetted officer, with a duly attested photograph of the person.
What is the time interval for periodic updation of KYC?
Time intervals for periodic updation of KYC for existing low/medium and high risk customers have been increased from 5/2 years to 10/8/2 years, respectively.

Can I request for a reprint of previous Card statements?
Yes, you can request for a reprint of your previous Card statements, however a charge of Rs.100 plus applicable taxes per copy will be charged for paper statements older than 3 months. You can also view your duplicate statements by accessing your American Express account online. This is a free service which gives you access to official copies of your Statements. Where can I see my recent unbilled charges Online?

How do I switch off paper statements?
You can switch off paper statements by simply changing the Statement delivery option on your American Express Account online. You'll need to register for Online Services to manage your Account online first.
You can always switch back to paper statements by simply updating your preferences online.
Will I be able to view Online Statements if my account is cancelled?
The online enrolment facility is available only for active Card members. In case of any assistance give us a call at any time on our 24 Hour Cardmember Helpline.
What is the credit limit on my Credit Card?
You will be informed of your credit limit when you are issued your Card. You can log on to Online Services to access information on your Card account, including your credit limit information. You may also refer to your account statement to check the credit limit on your Credit card.
Can I increase my credit limit?
Yes. After the first six months, you can apply for an increase in your credit limit.
How do I revise my permanent credit limit?
The credit limit can be reviewed after you have successfully completed the first six months of your Card enrollment. To review your account for a limit increase, we would require either of the following documents:-:-
1) Form 16
2) Latest Income Tax Return (ITR) & Acknowledgment of Receipt of ITR-V

Will I be required to pay for the disputed charge?
We will remove the amount under review from your required payment due so that you do not have to pay the disputed amount while under investigation.
What is the timeframe within which a charge can be disputed?
The Bank will investigate and resolve a billing error when the customer's billing error notice is received in writing at the address specified on the periodic statement and within 105 days from the date of transaction. The bank may accept billing error notices by phone.After 105 days, if the Bank is notified of a billing dispute and the dispute does not meet the criteria for a Goods & Services dispute and the Bank determines that it will investigate the dispute, the Bank will notify the customer that an attempt will be made to resolve the dispute, but credit cannot be guaranteed.
Will I get an acknowledgement that my dispute/claim is taken?
A written acknowledgement will be sent confirming the dispute is taken up with the merchant/ will advice any further documentation which is required from your end to address the claim.
How I will come to know that the dispute is resolved?
We will send a written communication advising about the outcome of your dispute.
Should I pursue with the merchant as well after raising a dispute with you?
We will ensure an end to end resolution is given once we have taken up the dispute still if you want you may contact the merchant.
Do I require documentation to set up a dispute?
Yes. Certain disputes like-cancellation, paid by other means, refund promised by the merchant, merchandise returned etc, require documented proof therefore, and kindly retain documented proof validating the same.
