Special Financial Relief Programme (SFRP) related to COVID-19 outbreak

The SFRP (Unsecured) is part of the Special Financial Relief Package that we, in collaboration with MAS, have put forth to help our Card Members who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.


If you have been financially impacted and are facing difficulties paying your outstanding balance(s) with us, we can help convert that balance into an instalment plan at 8% p.a. effective interest rate for up to 5 years. Please note that upon enrollment, your Account with us will be suspended for the whole repayment duration.


Applicant must meet the following criteria:

  • Singaporean or Singapore Permanent Resident

  • Existing American Express Card Member with outstanding balance between 30 and 90 days past due

  • Financially impacted by COVID-19 with ability to prove 25% income reduction after 1 February 2020

  • Not enrolled under any existing debt repayment schemes (e.g. Debt Consolidation Plan (DCP), Repayment Assistance Scheme (RAS), Debt Management Plan (DMP) or Debt Relief Plan (DRP) with any Financial Institutions) 

This relief measure is not applicable to all corporate cards.

How to apply

Application for the SFRP (Unsecured) is available from 6 April 2020 to 30 September 2021, subject to review and approval.
