Electronic Merchant Services (EMS) is a dedicated team within American Express which provides innovative electronic products and services solutions to assist you in your daily business operations. Some of the benefits of EMS products and services include:
  • Reduced operation costs for IT development
  • Streamlined authorisation and transaction processing
  • Reduced processing time and accelerated speed of pay
Online Merchant Services (OMS)
Online Merchant Services (OMS) is a collection of easy-to-use online services that can help you better manage your merchant account and do business with American Express. Using the Internet, OMS helps you administer your account quickly and easily, directly from your computer. Enrol Now. If you are already enrolled, Log In Now.
Automated Batch Submissions (ABS)
If you are a merchant that currently submits your transactions to American Express via tape or disk, ABS will facilitate faster payments and reduce the risk of erroneous transactions. This is because ABS electronically processes your American Express transactions and if required, automatically converts them into American Express format and submits them directly into our processing systems on your behalf.

Now you can access ABS via the Internet inside OMS. If you have not registered for this service and received your Login ID and Password previously, please email to or call Merchant Services.

Batch Authorisation and Submission (BAS)
This innovation is one-step up from ABS (Automated Batch Submission) as it provides authorisation for charges prior to the submission of the file, where rejected charges or incorrect charges can be corrected before the file is batched. Unlike ABS, rejected or incorrect charges are obtained only after the file is processed.
Billing Watch

Billing Watch is specially designed for Merchants who conduct recurring billing programmes. The Billing Watch service, unique to American Express, updates your recurring billing programme and provides current information on American Express® Card account numbers that have been replaced, cancelled or expired, prior to your submitting them for authorisation and settlement.
