Activate your Card and register for Online Services
If you haven’t done so already, you can activate your Card and register for Online Services at the same time. Follow just a few steps to activate your Card and you’ll be able to start using it in no time.
Using your Card
Your Card PIN
If you didn’t select your PIN during your Card application process, you’ll receive a letter by post enclosing an auto generated PIN. For security reasons, this will be sent separately from your Platinum Card and should arrive within 10 business days of receiving your Card application approval confirmation.
Changing your PIN
If you want to change your PIN for something simpler to remember, you can do so easily at any UK LINK cash machines.
View your PIN online
Forgotten your PIN? To view it, log in to your Online Services Account, click ‘Card Management’ and ‘View PIN’. You will be required to enter your Customer Password, which is the 4-digit password usedwhen calling Customer Services. You will have the opportunity to set up your Customer Password when activating your Card online. If you haven’t already registered for Online Services, you can do so here.

American Express contactless is the safe and secure way to make everyday purchases up to the value of £302. It’s easy to use, convenient, and is welcomed at thousands of locations across the UK and abroad. Whether it’s a flat white at a favourite coffee shop or a cheeky cocktail at one of your regular hangouts, look out for the American Express contactless symbol and pay by tapping your Card on the reader.
Discover the security, ease and convenience of mobile payments and keep earning rewards on those everyday purchases. View the options below on how to load your Card to your mobile device and once you’re all setup, simply look for the American Express contactless symbol and pay by tapping your mobile device on the reader.
Apple Pay lets you make everyday purchases using your iPhone or Apple Watch either in-store or in-app. Just visit the ‘Wallet’ app on your iPhone to get started.4
Amex Pay is the simple way to make mobile payments in-store using an Android device. Simply add your Card to Amex Pay through the Amex App to get started.3
Google Pay allows you to pay on the go in-store or in-app using your Android device. Simply add your Card through the Google Pay app to get started

Card security code
Your Card security code is an added security feature to help protect you against fraud. Your 4-digit security code can be found on the front of your Platinum Card, towards the right, and printed flat (unlike the Card number). You may be asked for this number during phone and online transactions.
As a new Cardmember, we want you to feel confident shopping online with your Platinum Card. SafeKey uses the latest 3D® Secure technology to help protect you against fraud when you’re online5. During the checkout process when you’re shopping online with participating retailers, the SafeKey box will appear to remind you that we’re checking your spending patterns, to make sure you’re the person making the purchase on your Card. You will also have the option to use your Membership Rewards®1 points at a range of participating retailers during the SafeKey journey. To find out more, click here.
Sometimes if you’re shopping on a particular website, we might want additional verification that it’s you. If that’s the case, we will send you a six-digit code instantly by text and/or email. Simply enter this code to complete your transaction.
Register for fraud alerts and should we spot something unusual in your spending patterns, we’ll send you an alert by SMS and/or email instantly. Simply reply with a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to verify if it was a purchase you authorised.

You’re covered for up to £2,500 per eligible item if a purchase made on your Card is accidentally damaged or stolen within 90 days. Subject to enrolement, exclusions and limitations apply. Click here for full details.

Managing your Account
Your statement and paying your bill
You can view your latest statement and payment due date online by registering for Online Services. To ensure your payment due date is set to one convenient for you, please contact Customer Services to discuss changing the date your statement is sent each month. If your Account is currently overdue for payment it will need to be up to date before requesting any change.
There are many ways to pay your bill in an efficient, secure way. Take your pick from the options below.
It's fast and simple to pay your bill online using a debit card. Log in to your Online Services Account to make a payment.
A Direct Debit automatically makes your payments each month, so you don't have to keep remembering to do it. Set it up online once you’ve registered for Online Services, by clicking ‘set up direct debit’ on your Card Account page and following the step by step instructions.
You can pay your bill in person at a bank either by bank giro, using the payment slip provided on your statement or by cheque.
From balance updates to payment reminders, our wide range of alerts can help you keep on top of your Account. You can manage the alerts yourself online, or you can let us know when you register for Online Services if you want to receive alerts on your mobile or by email. You can even place your Account alerts on hold when travelling, or change the time zone in which they arrive.
Why not share the benefits of your Platinum Card by applying for Supplementary Cards6 for your family or others close to you? You can apply for up to five Supplementary Cards at no extra cost, which are linked to your Account.
• One Supplementary Card can be a Platinum Card. You can also ask for a second Platinum Card (an Additional Card) for yourself, to separate your expenses
• The other four can be Gold or Green Cards, all complimentary
• Additional Supplementary Platinum Cards can be obtained for an additional fee of £170.
Your complimentary Supplementary Platinum Cardmember will enjoy many of the same great benefits and protections that you do. What’s more, you’ll earn Membership Rewards points5 for every pound spent on Card purchases by any of your Supplementary Cardmembers, which are added directly to your Account, so you can enjoy even more rewards.
The Main Cardmember will be responsible for any spending on the Account made by their Supplementary Cardmembers.
Replace your lost, stolen or damaged Card
If your Card is lost, stolen, damaged or not received you can order a replacement Card for yourself or your additional Cardmembers on your Account quickly and securely using your Online Services Account. If your Card is lost, stolen or not received we will cancel your Card immediately and send a replacement Card to you. If your Card is in your possession and is damaged you can continue using your Card until your replacement arrives. If you have your Card with you but, do not have an Account, you can set up an Online Account in just a few steps.
