American Express vPayment is a virtual payment solution that assigns a specific-use virtual account number to each transaction.
This enables users to set transaction-level spend controls and to reconcile global payment expenses quickly and easily.

International Payments is the easy and secure way to send money abroad. American Express International Payments allows you to simply and securely send money in over 80 currencies to over 200 countries as well as receiving foreign currency payments from your customers abroad.
How to make international payments?
You can make the international payment by either logging in online or calling an account manager to provide the supplier’s information and lock in a foreign exchange rate.
How long do international payments take?
This will depend on the currency sent and the country you are sending the payment to; USD payments to the United States, Sterling and Euro payments within the EEA – typically the same business day (subject to cut-off times) and other currencies – typically 2-4 business days.
What information is required for making an international payment?
All payments need:
Beneficiary bank name and country
Beneficiary account number/IBAN and/or SWIFT/ Bank Identifications Code (BIC)

The Membership Reward programme is only available when carrying out a foreign exchange payment to a different currencies and only on transactions between £1000 and £100,000, any same currency transaction will not be eligible for the Membership rewards points.
For EUR and USD payments only, provided the GBP is received before certain cut-offs.
The maximum amount of time for a payment period on purchases is obtained only if you spend on the first day of the new statement period and repay the balance in full on the due date. Approval is subject to status and terms and conditions apply. Applicants must be 18 years old or over.
