Using Android PayTM with an American Express card

Android Pay allows you to make purchases using your American Express card with a compatible mobile device. Your Card Member Agreement governs the use of your card in Android Pay.

To make a purchase, wake up the device and hold it near the contactless reader until your device beeps or vibrates and a checkmark appears on the screen indicating your purchase is complete. You may be prompted to unlock the device first by providing your PIN, passcode, pattern or fingerprint.

To make an in-app purchase, select the “Android Pay” button when you reach the checkout screen.

You must keep your device and security credentials safe and secure at all times – in the same way you would your actual Card or PIN. Never share your device security credentials or allow another person to register their fingerprint to your device, as that person will be able to make payments using your Card. If you do allow someone access, and he or she uses your Card, we will treat that transaction as authorised.

In the interest of security, you must set up a screen lock to use Android Pay on your mobile device. If you disable the screen lock function then your card will be removed from Android Pay. For more information about safety and security, please visit:
