FX International Payments from American Express is a real time payment processing system that captures all of your transactions as they occur. You will see the confirmation page immediately following a submission. You can check the status of your transactions online anytime using the View Transaction History feature or you can choose to receive an email at the time of the transactions during set up.
For wire and draft payments, FX International Payments can automatically send confirmation emails to the initiator of the payment and the beneficiary to confirm that the payment has been initiated. You simply request this feature and provide a beneficiary email address for each of your online payees.

Not all banks are SWIFT connected. In these cases, payments can be affected using a local routing code, which will be provided to you by your beneficiary.
Every bank account in the EU and EEA has a unique account number that identifies the bank, branch and account number a payment needs to be credited called an IBAN number.
There are also some non-EU countries that will require IBAN's and prior to making a payment you should check with your beneficiary if an IBAN is required. Here’s an example of an IBAN for the UK:

Where B = bank code, S = sort code, C = account number.
Your beneficiary can provide you with their IBAN. All EU and EEA account holders have been provided with an IBAN.

You may initiate a transaction via FX International Payments 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. However, you cannot lock in rates between Friday 4:45 PM to Monday 8:45 AM GMT. No, there is no need to set up a separate bank account. We will debit your business bank account based on the amount you requested. You may also set-up multiple business bank accounts from which we can electronically debit your various wire transfers customized to meet your business needs.
