A recent purchase I made does not appear in either Pending Transactions or my Account balance. Why?


It is possible the merchant has not yet submitted the final charge to American Express. In this situation the charge may not show in Pending Transactions or in your Account balance. When the merchant does submit the charge to American Express, it will show on your Account balance. Charges made in a foreign currency or using Contactless Cards will not appear in Pending Transactions.
