We've posted our forms on this page to make it easy for you to download and complete them. These documents are in pdf format. You will need the free Adobe Reader software to view them.

Please note in order to use the Document Centre, you must have an American Express Online Account. Click here to set up your own unique User ID and password for Online Services.

 

Want to set up Direct Debit?

 

Before we can setup the Direct Debit, we will need to validate your account details and receive some documents from you.

 

To complete the setup, please fill in the Direct Debit Instructions form for your product, which can be found above. You’ll also need to provide a bank statement in an original pdf format of the debit account you’d like to use, dated within the past three months. 

 

For Personal Cards, the debit bank account needs to be:

  • an active UK bank account in your name.

For Small Business Cards, the debit bank account needs to be:

  • an active UK bank account, either in your name or the name of the company.

Please ensure that your address registered with your bank matches the address your American Express® Card is registered with.

 

Submit your documents conveniently

You can upload the documents through the Document Submission Centre under the Document Category: Direct Debit Maintenance.

 

It can take up to 15 days for your request to be processed.

 

Please be aware that no payments will be taken by Direct Debit until the setup has been confirmed. Please continue to pay your American Express Card’s monthly bill online or by alternative methods until the Direct Debit is confirmed.
