FOUNDING PARTNER

Small Business Saturday® was founded by American Express in 2010 to help bring more customers to local shops. Today, it's a holiday shopping tradition that celebrates a greater nationwide movement dedicated to uniting communities and supporting all kinds of small businesses — from corner stores to food trucks to online boutiques. Each year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, shoppers, business owners and organizations come together to Shop Small, celebrate and share the places they love with the people they love.

Since 2010, FedEx has supported Small Business Saturday to help make the day a success. This year, FedEx is shipping Shop Small® merchandise kits to Neighborhood Champions and small businesses free of charge and printing select materials in the kit at no cost.

Etsy is the global marketplace for unique and creative goods. This year, American Express and Etsy have teamed up to celebrate online small business owners from coast to coast. On Small Business Saturday, Etsy sellers will host holiday pop-up markets in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, San Antonio and Wichita, providing a destination to shop locally crafted, one-of a kind items this holiday season. Etsy experts have also created a Small Business Saturday 101 content series that provides ideas and tips for online small business merchants looking to participate in Small Business Saturday.

Grubhub is an online and mobile takeout food-ordering marketplace that connects hungry diners with tens of thousands of favorite local, independent restaurants. Together with American Express, Grubhub is helping restaurants stand out, deliver memorable experiences and optimize online offerings on Small Business Saturday.
