Skype has launched a new platform, dubbed "Skype in the workplace," that's intended to help small businesses reach out to prospective customers. Firms can use the platform to stage live demonstrations or showcases for their products. "We're helping connect businesses face-to-face with their customers and prospects, no matter where they are located," says Ural Cebeci, Skype's SMB marketing in the U.K.'s CBROnline.com.
"In order for these businesses to survive and grow in what is still a tough economic climate, we understand that good communication and connections are key to their success," Cebeci says.
