How they did it

The chamber inspired the
whole town to start their
Small Business Saturday plans at the
Welcome Station.

They helped small business owners come up
with fun, engaging treats to offer shoppers
on the day.

To prepare shoppers for the day, they
distributed shopping bags
at their Welcome Station.

How they did it

Partners for Progress called on local
businesses to come together and create
unique after-hours offerings for shoppers
on the day.

Once the local businesses were on board,
Partners for Progress helped coordinate
plans and distribute posters promoting
the events.

Partners for Progress, along with
participating small businesses, helped
spread the word and rallied the entire
community to come out on the day
(and night) to celebrate.

How they did it

The association organized a Selfie
Event for people shopping at local
businesses on the day.

While visiting small businesses, shoppers
took selfies with owners, staff, signage,
or unique finds and shared their photos
on social media.

At the end of the day, the social media
push helped spread the word about
small businesses in the community.

How they did it

The organization came up with a list
of clues for a Small Business Saturday
Scavenger Hunt.

To complete each clue, shoppers
visited a local small business and
searched for answers.

The event energized members of the
community and inspired them to visit
multiple businesses.
